The defining moment in yesterday's game

Many will consider the first Boldin TD catch a defining moment, or perhaps the Pollard hit that caused a fumble, but to me it was much earlier.

When Belichick tried that 4th and two fake punt early in the 1st Q, it confirmed what the Ravens D had trained for and were expecting. The no huddle, gimmick plays that would be called thereafter were mostly nullified by a D with heightened awareness.

What was your defining moment?

I don't know if there was any 1 defining moment, but the moment that gave me the most satisfaction was Pitta's TD after clearly getting hit helmet to helmet just prior to the TD. THAT was a STATEMENT. It was a statement that said: "It doesn't matter what you do to us, we're going to beat you." To me, that defines what championship sports is all about, whether it's "my" team, or not. It was a thing of beauty.

Probably when Wes Welker dropped that crucial pass the next play after he got his bell rung. If they had converted that they were on pace to go up 20 to 7 with 12 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. He dropped it, they punted, we drove all the way down the field and scored a TD to make it 14 to 13. 14 point swing on that drop

For me there was no defining moment. But McKinnie at left tackle has defined this offense in the playoffs.

How do coaches not know this was their best line and if they did how can you be so pig headed not to put those players on the field? Harbaugh was stubborn as hell with Cam Cameron and apparently needed a kick in the pants to send him packing, wonder what would have happened if Osemilee did not get injured?

yep, and that's 2 years in a row welker has had a huge drop in their last game of the year .......

The punt netted 21 yards, and Baltimore's next three drives went like this: touchdown, touchdown, touchdown. Ballgame. I don't know why, with an offense that outscored every team in football by 76 points or more this year, you're punting from your opponents' 34 on 4th-and-8.

In retrospect, I think the "defining" moment in the game was the Ridley fumble. I was pretty sure it was a fumble, but given the reffing in that game, I was pretty sure it was going to be over turned. I was actually shocked that the play stood as called on the field -- fumble.

To me it was at the end of the half when Brady in his typical arrogance and cockeyness eschewed a time out which would have gotten him 2, maybe 3 more shots at the end zone, but him thinking he was such the master and cool cat calculated wrong and they had to take the FG. That was a game changer, imho.
