Default Skip Making Excuses for the Pats, re: Joe's play

To paraphrase - Skip said something like 'he played well, but the Pats lost their best and only shut down corner, and this is something that seems to be happening with the Ravens over and over again this postseason. What if the Niners lose Justin Smith and one of their corners?"

This was after Stephen A said (to paraphrase) - 'it might be time to finally put Joe in the elite conversation'.

I have a problem with Skip being paid to be an expert. He's not smart enough to be an expert.

Didn't I say yesterday that Bayless would bring up the injury issues?

uh, skip, the Ravens played most of the season without their best defensive player, one Lardarius Webb. How did Brady do?

I actually agree with Skip. Joe Flacco is Joe Fluko. That is to say, his games with .3 and .4 QBR are the flukes, and the rest of the time hes a beast.

saw this in peter king's column today .......

Last weekend, in Denver, I walked off the field with Joe Flacco after the 38-35 double-overtime win over the Broncos, and he stopped near the tunnel to sign a young Ravens fan's jersey. An adult next to the kid was thrilled.

"I guess you really shut up Skip Bayless today!'' the guy said to Flacco.

Flacco was concentrating on signing the kid's jersey. I looked at his face, and his expression didn't change, nor did he answer the guy about Bayless. Looking at Flacco's expression, I'm not sure he even knew who Skip Bayless was.

Bayless and Smith are paid to simply generate debate and disagreement. Both are annoying. Don't bother watching.

If you really want to watch someone who can generate debate, John Mclaughlin is the man to watch (I know he's not a sports person, but he does have some great debating on his show with the likes of Pat Buchanan and Eleanor Clift). I watch the show regularly and I often leave it being more informed no matter if I agree or disagree with the participants.

Bayless, on the other hand, is a lazy man with juvenile tendencies and with no real insight to his profession. He is not a respectable man.
