Default Who Went To The Ravens-Patriots Game?

    If you went:

    1) Were there a lot of Ravens fans there?
-How many, what % would you say?

    2) How does this compare to when the Ravens are
    -Normally there
-The 2011 championship and 2009 first round

    3) How were you treated there?

On TV, I could not really hear and "O". When the Ravens got their first TD I heard some cheers, not much, but much louder I heard the army chant.
Towards the end of the game as Patriots fans left I then saw a whole bunch and the chant was very very loud.

So to me it seems maybe 5% or 3000 Ravens fans scattered? My guess, what did you see?

I was there upper deck sec 318.

Almost all of the Raven fans that were there went down to the lower level behind the Ravens bench. My guess is that there was a few thousand at that time. I could not even begin to give a percentage. The section I was in had about 25 fans. Our group was made up of 12.

Like any away stadium, you get your fair share of jerks and people who are alright. More were cool with me than not. I don't tend to talk to other fan when I go to away games. If they start a conversation I will but I won't start one with them.

Personally I would not go back to that stadium. We hung around in the stadium for about a half an hour after the game, took about a 15 min walk back to the car and still had to wait almost two hours after that before we could leave the lot we were in. I don't now how they put up with that.

I also was disappointed that CBS did not point out and show the Raven fans at the end of the game. It's not like you could not hear the Seven Nation Army song chant and the cheers after the pick in the end zone.

You could hear it near the end of the game, though the stadium was blaring the foghorn trying to drown you all out every time the chants picked up.

That thing is about as annoying as it gets. It didn't fire up their crowd, then again it might be because they had nothing to get fired up about.

I was there. it was about 20-25% Ravens fans there. The beginning of the game u could really hear em during the "Oooo" in the natl anthem. The Pats fans are by far the worst fans I have ever came across. I have been to every playoff game except Denver the past 7 years home and away. The pat fans there were complete *** bags to everyone in Ravens gear. Trying to have normal football conversations with them is pointless. All most of them really knew about their team was Brady. A few of them said to me that it was nice they have won the Super Bowl 4 out of the past 6 years. Completely inaccurate.
When the Pats had the ball with around 8 mins left and they were making a drive down field hundreds of their fans were leaving saying how hey wanted to beat the traffic. When they were on defense their stadium was about as loud as M&T during the highschool Quarterback challenge. A few of the pats fans next to us were asking if I have ever heard a stadium so loud. I couldn't hold in my laughter.
When I was there last year when we lost their fans were awhile lot different. They by far are the sorest losers out there.
What Suggs said about their team is just as true about their fans thwe.

Thanks, I have always thought Raven fans travel well. At least in all of the games I have gone to on the road.

I was in 324 and nearly the entire section were Ravens fans. The few Pats fans I spoke with (some in the mens room, one guy with his kid sitting behind me) were very nice. There were a couple confrontations between fans (fight is too strong a word) that the security people broke up. We really noticed throughout the game that it was not very loud. In addition to the siren, which was pretty annoying, it seemed like nearly every play they put something on the screen to get the fans to make noise. That was really very surprising.

Want to add another story from the weekend. We stayed in Franklin MA and took about a 30 min ride to Providence RI to meet the Ravens bus checking into the hotel. (For those on twitter Jennifer Francoitti tweeted out a photo of us that she took there.)

Anyway we stopped off at a local gas station to hit the head before the drive back. As I walked in one of the guys behind the counter jokingly said no Raven fans allowed. I looked at him and asked "are we in Rhode Island?" He answered yes so I asked him "what is the name of the pro football team that plays in your state called?". A response that even got a big laugh from the Steeler fan in line. Dude had nothing to say after that.

    I don't get it either.

Over and over again with this guy.

I am pretty sure he wants to hear that Ravens fans didn't properly represent the team at away venues (aka we have a weak fan base).

If you search his post history, he always asks about attendance, and has tons of posts filled with trash talking Baltimore/Baltimore sports.

    What a weirdo.

Interesting, I have never noticed the OP or knew what he/she tended to post. Again I think Raven fans did a good job posting at the game and CBS failed, from what little I saw last night on tape, from letting people know that. Especially at the end of the game when we took over the stands behind the Ravens bench.

Thanks for the responses. I have no agenda, just gathering information on various teams travel and following is kind of my hobby.
