Default Stronger Arm: Flacco or Kaepernick?

    From Evan Silva:

Kaepernick, as a passer, is in video game mode right now. Straight stroking it. There is not a QB in the NFL with a stronger arm than him.

I'll personally go with Joe but Kaepernick can sling it, both QBs are going to face tough physical defenses but this game could be a shootout on that fast track in the Superdome.

I'll take Flacco in that competition, but Kapernick is no slouch. His game is diversity though. A defense has to prepare for his legs as well as his arm. He is like RGIII in a bigger body.

I don't know which one could get more MPH on the ball, but watching Kaepernick's mechanics... I see some of that "long wind-up" that people like to talk about. It'll be interesting to see what Reed and company can come up with, having two weeks to watch film of him. Will it be strong enough to get the ball in if / when the DBs know it's coming a fraction of a second early?

I think the key here is you let the guys up front deal with keeping him in the pocket, and chasing him around the edges. If he puts a couple highlight reel runs on you, who cares? Don't let a few big running plays from the QB change how you defend the other skill positions.

Where they risk being abused is when the LBs / safeties get caught up staring at him and waiting for him to take off... then letting his targets go free. It's what the Ravens defense did in the PHI game to much detriment (the reason why Celek ran so wide open several times). It's what they did early on in the WAS game. They managed to play with more discipline as that game went on. It's all about discipline. Let him run around a few times. If he scores from 40 yards out, so be it. Don't worry about a shut out. Focus on shutting down guys like Gore, Davis, and Crabtree. Kaepernick likely isn't going to win the game all by himself.

From what I've read Keapernick was throwing 93 MPH

and was drafted by the Cubs

wonder how hard Joe could throw a baseball ?

to answer the question my guess is Kaepernick
