Suffice to say that "the big 3" are ranked the top 20 Engineering schools by all the usuals - Forbes, Princeton Review, US News, etc. and the other 2 (USCGA and USMMA) are ranked pretty highly as well but are very small (less than 1,000 in residence).

Get your learn on - West Point is consistently ranked as one of the top undergraduate engineering schools in the world, and Air Force isn't called "that little engineering school in the Rockies" for some other reason.

There are no schools in the world that can compete with the overall package of academics, discipline, leadership, physical fitness, and character developed at these 5 schools, and is the reason their graduates are in such high demand.

Must be why, outside of Harvard, Yale, and Princeton -- West Point has more Rhodes Scholars than any other school, and Navy is in the top 10 all time as well.

You cited the WSJ list, which is the list that employers ranked.

Again, Academy grads aren't eligible. It's as simple as that. That's why they are not on the WSJ list.

In terms of undergrad engineering ranking, the Academies are not ranked against the Stanford's or MITs, because the Academies are not research, ie, PhD granting institutions. They are in a separate category.
