Your assertion was that it is easier now to buy firearms (legally, I presumed) than in times past. I am trying to see how that could possibly be true, given that we have had nothing but an ever increasing atmosphere of gun control in the 20th century and beyond.

It's more about gun violence where young children are killed by stray bullets. I can post these killings all day long. But the national media will focus on a few wounded victims at a school shooting.

Proving that the increase in these types of tragic incidents has nothing to do with whether guns are legal or illegal. Guns have always been legal in the US. The rise in shootings is due to something else.
