    Hummmmmmmmmmmmmm

so prior to 1982 Americans didn't own guns?

And since 1982 is a relatively new phenomenon.........

Mass shootings have occurred throughout the history of this nation. What's a relatively new phenomenon is the frequency with which they seem to occur these days. Probably just a coincidence that there are also an arse load more guns in our society now and that it's easier than ever to actually get a gun

While I've read and participated in that thread you can't assume that followers of this topic will know what your point is based on something you said in another discussion.

Guns have always been around. What has changed is America's mental health as can be seen by the amount of prescriptions prescribed yearly for depression and anxiety. Road rage is a symptom of America's anger issues.

I agree with you on the mental state of America as a whole, and the over use of medication.

Guns, while they have always been around, haven't always been virtually dirt cheap and easy as hell to get.

Some reports state that shooting started as an argument between 2 or 3 "students".

Reports.... at least 3 injured - 2 serious.....

Also, the shooter is in custody.......

Campus is a "no Gun Zone",

And here we go again talking about the same old solutions to fix the problems with shootings at schools. Yet no mention of the children being shot in drug ridden gang owned neighborhoods where gun shootings are a daily event throughout America.

Guns have always been plentiful and cheap. That hasn't changed.

Those are two different problems with a very different set of solutions. Distracting from one issue by trying to lump it in with another really does nothing to move either discussion forward.

So what's the solution, oh verbose one?

    Really?

You mean like when you could order them from, I believe it was, a Sears catalog and they were dirt cheap and easy to get.

National media needs to give equal time to all needless gun deaths of children throughout the country that takes place in neighborhoods and public places outside of schools and businesses. Ignoring a problem won't make it go away.

Easier than ever? How do you figure that? Prior to 1968 you could buy guns by mail order, for crying out loud!

Prior to 1982 there were guns available and a lot less, restrictions. As a matter of fact , prior to 1965, folks could take their firearms into airplanes when flying.

    There was never an incident.

So the availability of guns is not the issue.

The re-legalization of guns has caused these types of incidents to increase in alarming frequency. The days of Gun Prohibition are but a fond memory.
