    Default Enough Ray Lewis Already!

His shameless showboating during the trophy presentation was disgusting. Does he really have to hang all over Biscotti and slobber all over his back with fake tears?

Conduct yourself with some class Ray Lewis.

Its about team, not you Ray. Retire with some dignity there bubba.

Red Light Ray needs a quick kick in the butt.

I kind of like Ray's over the top behavior.

    It's almost like performance art.

Who else on the team after a game talks to reporters in a three piece suit?

In the runup to the 1980 Winter Olympics, Coach Herb Brooks was criticized for "hogging the spotlight". What he actually did was to keep the media spotlight away from his players and allow them to concentrate on the Gold Medal!

Part of me believes that Ray Lewis is a natural showman, but also might be trying to keep some of the pressure off his younger teammates.

I heard Herm Edwards earlier tonight on the radio discussing this topic. Edwards said "let Ray Lewis be Ray Lewis". I agree, the way he's playing right now, he can act however he wants.

I love how Ray wears his emotion on his sleeve. I suspect, since he knows his career is over in about 2 weeks, he is especially emotional right now. Can you blame him?

I'm not about to second guess a man who has been the heart and soul of the Ravens defense for as long as I can remember.

Ray is a one of a kind.

If you don't like what you see
    A. change the channel
    B. complain to the media, aren't they the ones sticking the camera in his face ?

You seem to see it as half empty...and the glass is dirty...and what's in the glass didn't taste too good anyway.

Hey. It's Super Bowl Season and our Ravens will be parties of the first part (as the lawyers would say) so lighten up!

I was basking in the glow of the victory so it didn't bother me that Ray was showing such strong emotion. Let's face it, NOBODY probably thought this team would come this far, especially towards the end of the season when they were struggling so much. He can do back flips, cry buckets of tears, stand on the mountain top and scream wild, crazy words of love as long as the Ravens win the Super Bowl. Who cares. However, it does make me laugh a little when I hear these players thanking God for victories. Why isn't God a Patriots fan? Or a Broncos fan? It's absurd but the media loves it.

Nice spin. Teammates get sick of Ray's act. Just read the Finestein book. And listen to Torrey Smith, Jacoby Jones etc. They are already sick of the last ride noise.

Ray is great, but it's all just an act. We saw Ray's true colors when he trashed his teammates and coaches, and boycotted the media when he was mad about his contract.

He is a great player on the field, off the field he leaves a lot to be desired. Why is it so hard to separate for yous?

Ray has proved that his emotion is genuine. If you don't like it, change the channel clown.

I am a huge fan of Ray Lewis, and I don't mind how he is acting at this point. I believe his retirement announcement was a spark in the team's surge through the playoffs to the Super Bowl. He happens to be an over-the-top personality, which has pros and cons, but he won't be an issue after a couple more weeks.

I do, however, find it tiresome how the media clutches onto some hype story and rides it to death, which is especially problematic with a two-week run-up to the Super Bowl. Even I, a Ravens and Ray Lewis fan, am sick of hearing about it. I think I will just try to avoid reading and listening to Super Bowl hype until kick-off on the 3rd.

Say that now, but when he's done you're gonna miss him...
