Apparently the isue was that the State Police have to do a new background check on each purchase not necessaily on each gun. If the purchases are bundled I suppose one check covers all.
Back in November, I went to my local shop to discuss the transfer of a mini14 tactical I was bidding on and while I was there I bought a new 9mm. I don't know if it was because the mini14 hadn't been delivered yet, but I had to do the paperwork twice (1 for each purchase) and had to wait 30 days to get the 2nd gun.
