Default Michelle has surprise for WH visitors day after Inauguration

I was lucky enough to be in the group Michelle surprised one year to the day after the first inauguration. Michelle and Bo greeted each and every visitor.

President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle -- along with first dog, Bo -- surprised a group touring the White House one day after the 2013 Inauguration.

The first lady tweeted news of the surprise Tuesday afternoon, providing a link to a live feed of the surprise.

Never been to the WH, but that would be pretty cool to meet the President on a visit.

It is many hoops to jump through and you have to start months before you plan on visiting, security checks, etc There are 3 security checks just to get through the door.

They held us in the ballroom, had some of the WH staff come and answer questions from the group, then we were led to where Michelle was standing with Bo the dog. I have to admit she was extremely warm, friendly, and not in such a rush to get to the next person.

Worked on equipment in the WH dispensary a couple of times back when Jimmy Carter was president but never met the president or first lady or anybody more important than a couple of secret service guys low enough on the totem pole to be assigned to keep an eye on me and my buddy Wendell. Also serviced medical equipment in the Capital Building at that time and got to meet Tip O’Neill once. That was memorable. He sat down right next to a big no smoking sign and fired up his cigar and complained to me about the quality of the free physical therapy he was receiving. I remember him being a heavy-set lumbering guy, white-haired and very red-faced, looking like he'd just drunk his lunch from a Glenlivet’s bottle. Anyway, I sympathized with him and he finally went away after a while. I remember him because he was the only famous politician I ever met in two years of servicing the dispensaries in the DC area. I didn't even know who he was until my buddy Wednell told me after he left. I wasn't exactly up on who was who back in those days.

My son was part of the demolition team when they renovated the Press Room and the Situation Room, he was a junior in college, and one of his frat brothers got him the job. They worked from midnight to 6 am, but were occasionally called in for other hours. He got to meet one of the Bushes daughters, he said she was very friendly "best thing Bush ever produced", and Cheney stuck his head inside the door of the Situation Room and my son said he had a sledge hammer in his hand "didn't think you would want to visit me in federal prison" (said in jest). It was a great experience for him.

Looks OK to me. Maybe Mom fixed it.

Nope only at Bo the dog, Bo just wanted everyone to pay attention to him too.
