Default Post Writer Antagonizing DC Fans...

    The comments are hilarious...

Think he's doing this on purpose?

This isn’t part of the never-ending debate about whether Redskins fans, or D.C.-area residents, should or should not cheer for the Ravens in the playoffs.

This is just some evidence indicating that a great many people in the D.C. market are already interested in watching Ravens games on TV.

Bloggers are evaluated by how many hits and comments they get, so it is to their advantage to raise a premise that will draw a lot of responses. Same way a radio talk jockey will bring up controversial topics that will agitate listeners to call in. Here on the board we call them trolls.

I don't get it. There is overlap between DC and Baltimore suburbs and I would think that generally, a local team would get more viewership than another team. It's just common sense...especially when Ravens games are usually the AFC game being shown in DC.

I guess we still 'don't matter' to them.

I don't see how this matters. The fact is, there are way more Ravens fans and way more O's fans than people realize - and they are beginning to be all over the country. This is thanks to the military.

I know. I remember the last Super Bowl that the Ravens were in 2001, the Post listed team bars in the DC area for the big game. They listed a couple of Giants bars in DC and told Ravens fans to drive to Baltimore to find a Ravens bar. Now I know of at least three Ravens bars in the DC area, two in Washington proper, the Mason Inn in Glover Park and the Pug on H St. NE. The best one is in Arlington, Virginia, Rock Bottom Brewery in the Ballston Commons Mall which is the only place I know of outside Maryland where you can have a Crab Pretzel and a Natty Boh while watching the Ravens game. Natty Bohs are $2 during each televised Ravens game and its where the Baltimore Ravens Meetup Group-Northern Virginia-DC Chapter meets. I will be there at 5 for the Super Bowl if I can find room, otherwise I might have to go to the two other bars in the Mall to watch the game.

Those watching the Ravens-Pats game didn't have to be Ravens' fans. With it being inauguration w/e, people from all over were in DC. They could have been Pats' fans and the Redskins fans could have been rooting for the Pats too. I can see a fan or two of the Redskins who post on this forum rooting for the Pats. Just sayin'.

Wow. These guys have serious metal problems. And I always thought it was Baltimore that had an inferiority complex.

Apparently our buddy 18-87-44-29 comments on that site:

He's right....noone cares about the Ravens.....but neither does anyone in the DC market. If you like to watch football and they happen to be playing....well what else are you gonna do?

I can't wait to see CKaep and PWill and crew lay a beating on the old Browns in a couple weeks.
    What a loser.

So he is. No doubt he is still crying over Luck's loss and RGIII's knee.
Well that and his sad lot in life.

Ha! Look at the last comment. It's from that skins fan who pretended to be a colts fan painter-brown-collie-tamme or whatever it's name is.

What was his name when he was an out-of-the-closet skins fan?

Not surprising. I am watching and cheering for the Ravens even though I'm a skins fan. Aside from what is read on the internet, I don't know of any Skins fans who feel anything negative towards the Ravens. However, it seems like I know quite a few Ravens fans who hate the Redskins... I don't get it.

I hate the Nats, but that's because they are dumb.

I bet one day you might actually post about sports instead of making up crap and trolling. Oh who am I kidding? Why start now?
