Up until the playoffs this year, I would have picked Ryan without a question. Flacco seems to step it up in the playoffs. I'm not sure if the Falcons just play it too safe or if it is Ryan who just seems to step it down in the playoffs.
Flacco always seems to play his best against the best quarterbacks. I'm wondering how he is going to play against the 49ers since their qb is a bit unproven. Anyway, I gotta go with Flacco at this point since he got us to the big dance.

Compare that to the qb with a 70% completion rate who throws 80% of his passes in the 10-15 yard range!

Finally, why are we piddle-farting about fantasy stats?

The only Statistic I think we need to focus on is this: Who is in the Super Bowl?!?!?!? Where are all those "elite" QBs? Planning their house parties to WATCH Flacco in the SB!
I don't believe for a minute hailbag forgets. He's just being disingenuous as usual - cherry-picking in an attempt to back up his weak accusations.

Cherrypicking is trying to explain a completion percentage by claiming there are a lot of downfield passes.

Or proclaiming one's favorite team's rookie QB as "great" after playing one partial injury plagued season in the NFL.

The truth hurts, doesn't it? You and I can probably throw 5 yard passes with good accuracy but how many times can we hit the target at 70 yards? Would you say the 70 yard passes would be on target more often, less often, or at the same level than the 5-yard passes?

Again, you are void of common sense and truthfulness. But you are also a glutton for punishment and, as trolls go, one of the most attention-starved. When I have time I don't mind feeding you because you humor me.

    Now that made me laugh.

You all do know that he will be coming here blasting away if the Ravens lose, right?

not too mention Matty Ice has better weapons

Julio Jones, Roddy White ( both in their prime) and Tony G. a sure HOF TE

Let's add to that Ryan's 0-2 road playoff record and in one game their offense failed to score any points.

It's nothing really against Ryan but I'm still not sold on him being far and away better than Joe as some want you to believe.

    spot on...

he's the big reason they lost to San Fran last week...

    A very close game

an INT and terrible unforced fumble cost the Falcons the game IMO.

I would say a little of both.

To me so much of the bashing of Joe comes from his demeanor. He is much to low key for tons of NFL fans, including some Ravens fans. We have seen it over the years when fans say he is not emotional enough. SMH I just don't know why that matters.

Joe is dammed is he does, dammed if he doesn't. If the Ravens win the SB and if Joe continues to do what he has done in the playoffs, he will then become the second best QB a Baltimore pro football team has ever had. As a person who had only two pro sports idols growing up, Bert Jones being one, that pains me a little to say. Never thought I would like a QB over Bert.

For some odd reason Flacco actually is more accurate downfield than he is in short and intermediate throws. That hurts your excuse. Sorry if your hero's stats don't support the claim he is anything more than a middle of the road QB.

This guy hates anything, everything, and everyone associated with Baltimore. Apparently when he was a little kid about five years ago he was visiting a relative in Baltimore and a three year old Baltimore kid beat him up and took his Yankee cap away from him. Only possible explanation!

You mean he's not a good enough QB to lead his team to a Super Bowl one year, and to within one pass right in his WRs hands the year before, and to the playoffs for 5 straight years?

    Oh, wait...

This guy is so anti-Baltimore anything he would probably think Johnny Unitas and Raymond Berry weren't NFL quality had he been around to see them play.
