    Default Mixed weight couples .......

    that's a new one on me ......

I think the problems described in this article are more directly related to life style than weight per se .........

a physically active person isn't going to have much in common with a couch potato ......

why do you think that the woman seem to accept an overweight spouse better than men do? are men more hung up on physical appearance? ......

Mixed-weight couples, where one partner is overweight and the other one isn't, have more relationship conflict, including arguments and feelings of anger and resentfulness, than same-weight couples, according to a study by researchers at the University of Puget Sound, in Tacoma, Wash., and the University of Arizona, in Tucson, published last month in the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships. Of 43 heterosexual couples in the study, those who reported the most conflict were a healthy-weight man and an overweight woman. When just the man was overweight, couples reported no more conflict than same-weight couples.

My hubby is thin while I am fluffy.

It works for us. In our 27 years of marriage, weight has never been an issue for either of us.

My husband and I were mixed weight when we married. He was a big guy. Then he lost about 50 lbs. Now we are just mixed nuts.

My first wife and I were mixed weight. She was about 300 lbs and I was about 140 lbs. We never fought over size. Her laziness, yes. Her not wanting to work, yes. But over her size no.

I'm equal opportunity when it comes to the ladies. I'm willing to love them all. Short, Tall, Thin (not anorexic), Heavy as long as I think they're attractive that's all that matters to me.
