A lot of those comments are things I see get posted on these forums a lot. It's easy to forget that the kind of people that are putting up the really extreme comments in there are a decent percentage of our population. A lot of them are probably people we know, generally keep it to themselves, but it comes out pretty clear due to the anonymity of the Internet.

The article doesn't really go into what kind of neighborhood this is. I'm assuming it is one that went from mostly black to Hispanic.

Census data show that the city is 32.9% black and 25.9%, although non-Hispanic whites are only 0.8% of the population.
