2 fatal shootings in Anne Arundel in 24 hours

Parts of our State Capital are becoming very violent and should be avoided.

The deadly weekend comes after Annapolis police charged Charles Spriggs, 25, and William Chase in the fatal shooting of 30-year-old Howard Durley last Wednesday night in the Bywater Mutual Homes community. Police said the shooting began with a dispute involving a woman that Spriggs shares a child with.

Just after 4 a.m. Sunday, a 26-year-old man was found shot and stabbed to death in a wooded area of Glen Burnie. A Baltimore man has been charged with first-degree murder in that incident.

Today officers responded to the 300 block of Harry S Truman Parkway at 1 a.m. and found the man and woman suffering from gunshot wounds inside a business, police spokesman Lt. Frank Tewey said.

Eric Glenn Banks was charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing and shooting death of a man in Glen Burnie on Sunday

Erica Tywanda Banks was charged with possession of a handgun after a man was found stabbed and shot to death in Glen Burnie on Sunday.

Tremain Celos Calhoun was charged with possession of a handgun after a man was found stabbed and shot to death in Glen Burnie on Sunday.

I'll tell you what is close to Annapolis,the now closed Crownsville State Hospital which needs to be re-opened. If we would start keeping track of our nuts like we used to a lot of these crimes wouldn't happen. Our mental health system is completely broken,our government won't acknowledge this because of cost and sexual deviants. Just keep blaming guns idiots.

The woman, 43-year old Tracy Lynn West of Crownsville, was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with life-threatening injuries, fire department spokesman Division Chief Keith Swindle said. She remains in critical condition.

Police identified the dead man as West's estranged husband, 50-year old Calvin Cofield, 50, of the 7200 block of High Bridge Road in Bowie/."

not to mention the old Crownsville Hospital is even further away from Annapolis than Harry Truman Pkwy.-- I'd say about ten miles away from the border.

I would agree that anyone that commits murder has mental problems of some sort. But I would not have a problem with capital punishment for any of them.
