They're just a race-hustling group without integrity, changing like a windsock to support whoever gives them the most money.

Evidence - their stance in the NYC "large soda" controversy. Despite the fact that 70% of black New Yorkers are overweight, they took a large cash donation from Coca Cola and now are against this "racist" law.

Not much different from their praise of the tobacco industry after getting large donations from Phillip Morris.

Irrelevant clowns to most, but for some reason they are given a national platform and a free pass by the media to further their racism.

Wht free cell phone? You mean the ones from the program paid for by the telcomm industry that has absolutely nothing to do with Obama?

The usually government culprit emerges once again; poor oversight of a well intended program leads to abuse.

"Last year, a federal program paid out $1.6 billion to cover free cell phones and the monthly bills of 12.5 million wireless accounts. The program, overseen by the FCC and intended to help low-income Americans, is popular for obvious reasons, with participation rising steeply since 2008, when the government paid $772 million for phones and monthly bills. But observers complain that the program suffers from poor oversight, in which phones go to people who don’t qualify, and hundreds of thousands of those who do qualify have more than one phone."

Sure do. Then he took it to another level with his stimulus spending, Obamacare and his other wanton spendings.

You believe that stimulus spending worsened the recession?

I think it's certainly arguable whether or not it was effective, or was worth the increased debt. But I can't see how it would have worsened the economy in the short term.

40% of the Stimulus was tax cuts and it wasn't a big enough stimulus given the size of our economy.

Obamacare hasn't added anything to the debt so far...

Moved to SC closed my business let 11 people, good people, go because I couldn't compete anymore. Why you ask? Well for one my wife didn't want to be the head of the company any more and we lost our minority business status. Then the cost of insurance, health care, taxes, regulations from federal, state and local governments, making less than my employees while putting in almost twice as many hours, fuel and vehicle costs and regulations, no growth in the private sector and the nature of our business forced us to turn almost exclusively to government contracts which was just BS. The government employees were arrogant, self centered and greedy. They had to be taken to "lunch", happy hours, Ravens and Os games (you couldn't just give them tickets we had to go with them so we could "treat"), trips to OC for conferences where there was a one hour "meeting" (happy hour in a conference room) followed by four days of binge drinking and free shopping. turning a blind eye to theft of computers, TVs and host of other high end electronics, covering for the government "employees" as they would leave work early, sleep at their desks and sometimes not show up at all.

On a happier note, started to work down here for fun and now have become part of a large and growing network of people who work under the table. We make more money, don't pay any taxes, trade goods and services to one another and have fun doing it. I keep buying gold and silver and hording cash, it's a beautiful thing to quote Andrew Dice Clay! Interesting to note that this is not a local thing it seems to be spreading nationwide and it is all legal (just barely!). One of the players down here has a son who is a local cop! I highly recommend any of you to get far enough from DC to actually see what is happening to this country, people out here are sick and tired of paying for Jags for the folks in DC and are fighting back. So while you government "employees" waste time on Internet during "work" the quite revolution is coming and it will be mess. Not a threat just an observation.

99 44/100% of Americans do not get "ironically."

But I don't think it's a great idea to run one's life according to slogans, buzzwords, turns of phrase, & wacky aphorisms.

Oh, I am so sorry: they do have that "right" make a living, don't they? Americans: don't need to get it right cuz they got rights!

When the economy is sinking into a depression, it's time for a short-term fix to stave it off.
