you're absolutely right. MLB won't do anything until they have proof. the union is strong, and MLB is enjoying the best labor peace they've ever had. there's no way they'll rock that boat on unsubstantiated rumors or info. but this isn't just a MLB investigation. this is at the Federal level. MLB is just along for the ride. they've sent lawyers and reps down to Florida to request access to the information.

it will take months to work all this out, and if it's true, there will be 3 playoff contending teams (Toronto, Texas and DC) that will be losing a premium player during the push to the playoffs and on into the post season.

they have since said they aren't sure what Gio was getting from the good doctor, but he is confirmed as being on Tony's books as a repeated recipient of something. Gio has denied being a patient or having any contact with Tony. so right away we have someone not telling the truth. we'll find out eventually.
Apparently since then it has come out that Gio was a possible recipient of "pink" from this clinic.

    Still, hearsay.

so far, every player on the list, who has made a statement, has said he wasn't a patient and never got anything from this Dr. so it's all probably just a big misunderstanding that will blow over in a few days. after all, PED stories pretty much always turn out to be false. so I don't think there's anything to worry about.

He's also from Miami and it seems that every player who is from Miami or connected to the University of Miami is somehow tainted by suspicion of PED use.

The doctor is also denying giving anyone banned substances. The investigators have nothing unless the doctor is willing to go under oath and confirm that the handwritten notes submitted to the Miami Times are legit.

There's a material difference between an ARoid denial and a Gio denial.

If Gio's a juicer, then fry his arse.

But at this point, his involvement is entirely circumstantial.

"Both sources, speaking independently, identified Gonzalez as the only Bosch client named thus far who did not receive performance-enhancing drugs."

if this is true, it's more damning than not. Gio is already on record as saying he was never a patient of this place and never received any type of prescription or treatment.

rhetorical question: if he was a patient and received "non-PEDs" why did he say he has no relationship with this place and never met Bosch?

It must be a deep question for someone like yourself.

A Baltimorean who has moved to DC.

If I were a DC native who moved to Baltimore, I would think that I did so for good reason. I.E. Baltimore is better than DC for whatever reason.

    Quite a conundrum...

I'm not sure what this has to do with the topic of the thread, but it's a nice compliment to my home town.
