"Balto. police recover 29 stolen firearms early Tuesday"

Baltimore police have two men in custody after seizing 29 stolen handguns Tuesday morning.

Around 2:30 a.m. Monday, two men allegedly broke into an outdoor supply store in Saxton, Pa., using a vehicle and stole multiple handguns. They then drove to Baltimore with the intention of selling the guns, police said.

Law enforcement with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives alerted Baltimore police that the vehicle might be in the city. Police located the vehicle in the western patrol district around 4 a.m. Tuesday.

Good job, Baltimore Police! According to the article they were tipped off about these knuckle heads. At 4 am the police are going to be taking a second look at most cars.

The article didn't identify the race of these criminals but if the are white they wouldn't do too well in Baltimore. The City Police takes its racial profiling very seriously and white drivers that enter a mostly black neighborhood will get stopped.

Stealing guns after breaking into a sporting goods/outdoor supply store is already illegal, no need to pass any new laws, just enforce the ones that are already there.

Throw the book at them, mandatory sentences, use Federal law as they crossed state lines.

You're talking about Baltimore City. About the best you can hope for is a stern warning.

HOWEVER, they can be charged with the B&E in PA. Since PA's politicians' actually resent crime and will fight it, you can bet they will go away for a long time up there.
