Default The Dance: Who's in and who's out?

Way early, but Lunardi has Md as possible 12 seed.

total waste of time. waaaay too early to make predictions, considering most conferences haven't made the turn into the second half....

My Tar Heels need more quality wins. The two game stretch @ Duke and @ Miami is going to be crucial.

Absolutely it's too early for some. For other's, they would need a complete collapse not to get in.

I just found Lunardi's take interesting, from the standpoint that he must see something in the Terps character, their play, to think they make the tourney. That's all.

    I know it's early

but I have to say....In no way do I see this team making the big dance

    terrible guard play
    poor perimeter shooting team
    Lenn is overrated..I'll take Mitchell
their 3 point shooting is atrocious..they can't hit a 3 with a hand in their face

but the biggest factor though is that guard play...can't shoot, pick up their dribble to far away from the basket...bad 3 point defense...they don't create

watching this team struggle again tonight

It's amazing how pro scouts that have been scouting players for years thinks Len is a possible lottery pick yet you think he's over-rated. But I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

They lost four starters to the NBA, McAdoo is not the prototypical back to the basket big man the Roy likes to have....he's more of a slasher. The rest of the bigs are projects. Most importantly.....they don't have a point guard.

Reggie Bullock and sometimes McAdoo are the only ones who play hard all the time. Strickland is a shell of his former self now after the ACL tear last year.

yes, because professional scouts and coaches are the know all

they couldn't possibly be wrong could they ? sorry happens all the time
Len at best right now would be a project...but if he stays in college until his senior year maybe he will live up to these expectations they have now

Ravens fans, myself included had been calling for his job for the last 2 years. Took Harbaugh that long...even Cam admitted he should have been fired.
    Fans were right this time

Unlike you, he is right, more than he is wrong.

    Keep trying.

The Terps still have to win some more games to get in the dance. Winning at home vs UNC would be a big help. Obviously they need to win at BC tomorrow.
I would assume they need two wins in the ACC tournament as well.

    LAST FOUR IN

    34. Temple
    35. Charlotte
    36. Saint Mary's
    37. Villanova

    ***

    FIRST FOUR OUT

    38. Alabama
    39. Virginia
    40. Maryland
    41. Kentucky

The win over duke may be just the kick-start they needed to make a run to solidify a bid.

That, and the fact that Kudzu is now rooting against UMd, is reason enough for me to believe they will get into the dance. I think without the vine-man's negative endorsement, it was questionable. But it's now a lock.
