Default Veteran Ravens Cheerleader Barred from Super Bowl

    Dear Courtney,

If you check out this message board, then I am very sorry that you did not make the cut to cheer at the Super Bowl for the Ravens. But, you are more than welcome to come to my house on Super Bowl Sunday, and you can cheer for the team to your heart’s delight. I will have plenty of food and drinks available. The article says that only 32 of the 60 cheerleaders are allowed to go the Super Bowl. You are more than welcome to bring to my house any of the remaining cheerleaders who did not make the cut. Uh, that is female cheerleaders only.

And, if the cheerleading squad makes you turn in your uniform before the Super Bowl, then you can cheer in whatever you want.

Send me a PM, and we can make the arrangements for Sunday.

    Your biggest fan,

    TSM

Debbie Kammerer, 52, of Pasadena, Md. created an online petition that has already has surpassed 1,200 signatures. She is so angry, she says she is considering not attending the game herself.

"We're just angry," Kammerer said. "She was 57th among the hottest NFL cheerleaders this season. People want to burn their jerseys and don't want to support the Ravens anymore. My heart isn't even wanting to go. I could save $3,500. This is totally wrong."

... cry me a (back) river for the cheerleader(s) and this fan

Exactly. There was apparently 32 other cheerleaders that are better at the art of cheering. Just becuase it's her last season of cheering doesn't mean it's a instant trip to the superbowl. She isn't no Ray Lewis.

    Whoa! A Clairvoyant Camel! Cool.

BTW - Debbie Kammerer -- I'll take that ticket if you decide not to go. Real fans should get first dibs.

I am a veteran season ticket holder. 17 years and have only missed one game, a preseason one at that. So does that mean I deserve SB tickets?

A cheerleader "announces her retirement"? A cheerleader???

Maybe they left her behind because her sense of entitlement wouldn't fit in the Super Dome.

    Just curious.

Were Ravens PSL holders offered the opportunity to buy SB tickets?

Was there at least a lottery for PSL holders?

Yes, it is done by lottery. I know several (including two in our tailgate crew!!!) who won and are going.

Why in the world we she not wait until AFTER the Superbowl to say she was quitting???

I seem to recall members of the marching band complaining in 2001 because they weren't invited to go.

Why should she get sent to the Superbowl over the other 27 or so that didn't make it. Better yet, why should she get sent over any other fan at all???

Excatly. I'll dress up in some tight spandex pants to stand on the sideline of the superbowl. You wont even have to show me on TV.

Reading her letter on facebook, she sounds like a spoiled brat.

Now that she's worked to spread more negative light on the Ravens this week, I hope she doesn't get to go!!!!

You are exactly right. She sounds like a spoiled brat.
I can't believe how she is trashing the Ravens' name in order to self-promote.
What an egotistical, self-absorbed whiny child.

Maybe in she holds her breath and stomps her feet, she will get to go. After all, she's basically throwing a child-like tantrum over this.

This needs to be posted on the FB page. If I had a FB account I would post it there.

If she can pronounce "kelechi osemele" correctly, she may go.

Edit: I hate to be so shallow, but if she's one of the "hottest" 57 NFL cheerleaders, well ...

No, what needs to happen is someone needs to start a petition to ask precious little Courtney to stop bashing the Ravens organization or face a lawsuit for slander.

It completely astounds me that she is making every effort possible to cast a negative shadow on the team she claims to want to represent. Makes me think her desire to go to the Super Bowl has little to do with her love of the Ravens, and more to do with her desire to grasp at 15-minutes of fame.

You think? That's all this is about.
