NYC are u still in NO? I think I recall you moving down there just as I was leaving... when Katrina struck... last game I saw at the Superdome was the Ravens Saints preseason game...that was the Saturday I be,ieve before Katrina...which hit that Monday the 29th...

That's total BS the 9ers get to practice on Airline Drive while the Ravens have to practice on a subpar converted baseball diamond..

I heard about the Ravens practicing outside, while the Niners are practicing in the dome. Will the Ravens get a chance to practice inside the Superdome at all, before Sunday? If not, I'd say that's a bit unfair.

Yes, you remember right, I have been in NOLA for eighty years.

I was at that pre-season game before Katrina too, and you have the rest of the story right. The Ravens are now outside in the wind at Turchin Field while the 49ers are indoors in the Saints facility in Metairie.

I think both teams get a walkthrough Friday, but I am not sure......but look at this:

Already announced for the 2014 Superbowl......and look at the difference.

This from ESPN ends the controversy:

Baltimore had the option of working at the Saints' indoor facility late in the afternoon or early Wednesday evening, after the 49ers finished. But coach John Harbaugh said he and the players preferred to practice on schedule in mid-afternoon.

    From Peter King:

Back from Ravens practice. One thing I noticed: Flacco's arm don't care about no stinkin' 24 mph crosswinds.

The 49'ers are considered the home team so no.

Why are the 49'ers the home team? Is it alternated each year?

NFC teams are the home team in odd numbered years. AFC teams are the home team in even numbered years.

Yep, last year the AFC (New England) was the designated as the home team. Year before it was Green Bay.
