$1800 for a football ticket? I can buy a sweet tv and have a party catered for the game and still have money left over. That's just too much for one game and that's not including a flight or hotel room.

It would be a 4-5 thousand weekend trip. Sorry as much as I would like to go that's just crazy. Again this is not a game for the average fan. It's an event for the rich and famous.

would you pay that if the Skins were in the SB?

the reason I ask, is because I would feel the same way if it was the pats & 49ers. or Pittsburgh vs. Dallas. but to be there and watch your team play in (and possibly win) the SB, that's a special moment. if I could get down there, I'd pay $1800.

those same tix are selling for $4500+ on stubhub

I could afford it but I couldn't justify it. I own four season tickets and would try to get tickets at face value just to sell them. I could cover a whole season of four seats with one Super Bowl ticket.

don't misunderstand, I wasn't questioning whether you could afford it or not. I was just wondering if you could justify the expense to yourself if the Redskins were playing in the game this weekend.

for me, I wouldn't even think about paying $1800 for a SB ticket, unless the Ravens were in it.

I paid about that much for two tickets each. For me the Superbowl is a once in a lifetime opportunity for an avid football fan to watch their team play. I would not pay even face value if the Ravens weren't playing.

Since my wife is a Giants fan, it would be even harder to justify.

Tickets are down to around $1400 now. He's not going to sell it for $1800.

    I got mine yesterday, $1500.

Driving down tonight, staying with a friends family in Thibodeaux.

you're right, when I post $4500 earlier in this thread, I was confusing the sections the seats are in. $4500 is down by the field at the 50 yr line
