* One provision that isn’t backed by a majority of Republicans: The one “expanding Medicaid to families with incomes less than $30,000 per year.”
And the fact that most Republicans believe healthcare should be left to the states. And that the federal government should not be forcing anyone to buy insurance or suffer a penalty.
Flyboy its a wonder you don't choke on all those talking points that you regurgitate.
Also, you know damn well when McConnell said that his number one job was to make Obama a one term President. Once again....disingenuous!![]()
The fact is that the expansion of Medicaid makes sense because the program has never changed to reflect what constitutes low income in society these days. And as for that last statement, that's in fact exactly what they believed until Obama included it as part of Obamacare.
Maybe we should accept the fact that our standard of living is dropping due to global competition. Government needs to get out of the way of the free market instead of artificially jacking up the SOL with stimulus. Then $30,000/year would not be poverty level. Our government needs to stop the money printing madness that is destroying Americans.
As for healthcare, Romneycare was accepted by Republicans because it was a state program. Yet the media made it look like it was exactly the same as Obamacare and it seems many Americans bought the wrongful comparison.
McConnell made his remarks in an interview that appeared in the National Journal on Oct. 23, 2010 —
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA),[1] commonly called Obamacare[2][3] or the federal health care law, is a United States federal statute signed into law by President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010.
Shoved down the throats of Americans which is why McConnell made his one term statement. Obama lied during his campaign promise of being a bi-partisan president. And his more transparent administration promise...not so much either.
I see you keep completely ducking the idea that the Republicans were all for the individual mandate right up until the point that Obama included it as part of Obamacare.
Also, the Government wouldn't have to be doing the crap it's doing now if it had done it's job and freaking regulated the financial sector instead of throwing all the laws out the window and letting them police themselves.
"Friends of Hamas" doesn't exist. Smear campaign fail:
One problem: as Dave Weigel at Slate wrote, "Friends of Hamas" almost certainly does not exist. Still, Ben Shapiro, Breitbart News editor-at-large, stood by his story," telling Friedman that his piece uses "very, very specific language."
"The story as reported is correct," Shapiro told Friedman. "Whether the information I was given by the source is correct I am not sure."
Update: Shapiro has responded to Friedman's column, claiming he is not the source of the Breitbart story.

"Friedman thought the names of those groups were so ridiculous that they would never be thought of as actual organizations." soulfower's link
Do why didn't you deny the group existed Friedman?!
Righties will believe anything, Shapiro is a lousy journalist, in keeping with the sad excuses for their lot on Breitbart's site.
Seems the Hamas rumor is false!!!!
