To be clear, I did NOT say eliminate, I said reduce.
How would you eliminate all magazines larger than six?

So, we have the legal gun owner (say, dad) and then we have the authorized "users" of the gun, say, mom. Do you want your 6 year old kid to be an authorized user? I wouldn't...but that's just me.

All that aside, if your concern is for home protection, then biometric identification, on a gun, would allow the owner to keep the gun readily available...say, sitting on the night stand....rather than being locked away somewhere that is NOT as readily accessible during a time of need. I presume gun owners, with kids, act responsibly, and lock their guns away? Or is that assuming too much for gun owners?

It would have stopped this perp at Sandy Hook.

Are you referring to those already in production or sold?

    You wouldn't.

    Talking future trends.

Whatever is enacted, it will take time to have any lasting affects (if, at all).

It's taken us how many years of gun ownership to arrive at where we are today....so, it won't change over night.

You do know where this is headed LOL

Sorry, it is kind of hard to take any of this serious, the RWNJ's refuse to see the circling of the toilet, I believe the 'skeet conspiracy' was the last straw with me.

I showed to my wife, with some prior context, and she laughed at your comment.

That's rather amusing. Come back when the latest gun ban proposal is rejected.

Like I said, c'mon back after it goes down. The ironic thing is that Dems from moderate districts and states will be the ones helping to sink it.

You and others like you want to restrict magazine capacity claiming it will "reduce the number of fatalities and injuries".

Okay, of the 30,000 gun deaths per year, how many or what percent of the firearm deaths per year will your proposal save? (10, 20, 30, ...?)

Mass killings, suicides, and criminal use of handguns do not depend on magazine size.

Suicides: we agree, there will be no impact. Only takes one bullet.

    Criminals: we agree.

    Mass killings: we disagree.

By similar analogy, we would have had more school bus accidents had they not limited top speed in school buses, to 55mph.

    Glad we progressed.

Again, how many firearm deaths per year (out of 30,000) will your proposal prevent?
