Default Not being nasty, does Glenn Younes get on your nerves?

Turned on 105.7 the other night and heard this guy Glenn Younes, Talk about a guy hyper, after 5 minutes I turned him off. Very annoying to hear, just curious does he get on anyone elses nerves.

Since day one. Turn off the station the second I hear his voice. Horrific.

he's just another one on that station who grew up a fan of another team but suddenly became a Ravens fan out of convenience of employment.
    Add him to the list:

    S Davis - patriots
    E Norris - giants
    V Cerrato - ? san fran ?
    J Conn - indy colts
S Garceau - packers (in fairness he's been here like forever)
    M Zinno - giants
    G Unit - redskins

and their boss is a steeler fan.

You think only people that grew up in town and supported the Colts or ravens should host shows?

The only really enjoyable on-air personality at that station is Haynie.

Is Younes the one that maintained quite a while ago that he knew McKinnie, played tennis with him and that he was in shape and ready to play? I don't think it was Harbaugh was it?

The only personality I like listening to at that station is Ed Norris. That's it. The rest of them get on my nerves in varying degrees, especially Steve Davis. Needless to say, I limit my exposure to 105.7. Who needs the irritation? And if the shows' hosts aren't bad enough, then you have to be subjected to these brutal, idiotic phone calls from listeners. Pure torture.

I don't know what it is with 105.7. It's almost like the have to have someone annoying in their stable. Anita left, and Jen came in. Jen left and Glenn came in. They have to know that people are switching stations as soon as they come on.

(Why is when you make a small point someone may not get they seem to always go ridiculous and ask if you want something completely ridiculous you didn't infer? never ceases to amaze me smh)

    No.
It annoys me that the guy at the topic of the thread ran promo's into the ground where he gave some lame excuse why he dumped his preferred team the redskins and is now fully on board as a Ravens fan, very disingenuous. It was laughable and to me it actually backfired.
It would be nice to have that hometown voice alongside the others. Bob Haynie's presence on the station was cut way back and that is sad because it leaves only Rob long and he doesn't possess Haynie's recall of Baltimore sports and I like hearing that kind of thing. If I wanted a lineup of pure outsiders I'd listen to the networks more often.
Norris is intolerable and adds little, he interrupts and steps on others constantly and to make matters worse along with his inability to enunciate is that his interruptions are usually of few words with no content, just a reaction to what someone else said, very painful to listen to, cringe worthy.

I'm in the minority because I think Younes has the best show on the station.

Glenn Younes thinks that Glenn Younes is a funny guy. I think that's what annoys me the most. He makes a joke, laughs hilariously at himself, and then keeps telling the same joke, and continuing to laugh. Then he spends time talking pop culture. If he would just stick to sports and leave the pop culture to Entertainment Tonight, and the comedy to David Letterman (his jokes are about as funny as Younes'), he wouldn't be so bad.

    Yes. They are called WNST.

Actually, I listen to 105.7 in the morning and WNST in the afternoon on the Internet. Steve Davis and Ed Norris do a great job. Drew Forrester does as well, but I can't pick up WNST in my commute to DC.

We both are Greg. The other guys can put me to sleep, Glenn keeps me wanting to listen to see what he's going to say next.

Scott Garceau and Jeremy Conn put me to sleep. Garceau is like the ultimate "nice guy" and never really puts a strong opinion out there which bugs the crap out of me. Luckily I have Sirius and sometimes I can get WNST that far South in the afternoon.

Garceau is ok, his show just seems dry and scripted. Jeremy is alot funnier when he is on with Ken Weinman. Younnes gets on my nerves sometimes, but he is alright. Mike Popovec is very knowledgeable but is sorta on the dry side as well. The only person who was unlistenable for me on 105.7 was Damon Yaffe. Last I heard WNST picked him up for whatever reason. I'm not a fan of Rob Long either. Terry Ford is the most hillarious on the station imo. But he is only on sometimes if he is filling in for someone.

Maybe you should have said that then; you wouldn't have to type so small.

I miss the days of Bruce Cunningham and even Mark and the Bulldog. They were all local guys with a local slant. Haynie gets on my nerves only because of his voice.

I tolerate them all generally because if you want good Ravens news and information the radio whether it be The Fan or WNST is the only way to go.

Haynie's voice is like a dumpster being dragged across a parking lot.
