Default The Lyberal Self Defense Plan - Cower, Lock The Door, Grab The Scissors...

    ...Act Like A Sheep

    http://personalliberty.com/2013/02/0...-like-a-sheep/

"In a ridiculously simplistic propaganda video entitled “Options for Consideration,” DHS mentions recent mass shootings — all of which occurred in gun-free zones — and gives instructions on the best ways to cower in fear and hope you don’t get shot. The video description claims it “demonstrates possible actions to take if confronted with a (sic) active shooter scenario. The instructive video reviews the choices of evacuating, hiding, or, as an option of last resort, challenging the shooter.” The challenge makes no mention of pulling out your own personal protection firearm, but does suggest grabbing a pair of scissors.

The ultimate irony is that at the end of the video, a group of law enforcement officers wielding personal defense weapons enter the workplace looking for the shooter. Anyone running out of the workplace with hands in the air is allowed to pass. Meanwhile, officers are going into office carrying the very weapons the gun grabbers want to deny lawful gun owners."

    Dude, you wasting your time.

There are some people that hate others who take responsibility for their own security. Their hatred is manifested in ridicule and spiteful language towards those they hate and secretly envy.

What a joke. When did LEOs start carrying "personal defense weapons"

BTW, just more fear based sensationalism from the pant wetting wing-nutz. I'm pretty sure that everyone here has a better chance of getting struck by lightning than being in a situation where they can be the Rambo they've always wanted to be in, but never will.

Really, they have a better chance of getting struck by lightning? Glad that you're only "pretty sure."

"A personal defense weapon (PDW) is a compact semi-automatic or fully automatic firearm similar in most respects to a submachine gun, but firing a (often proprietary) rifle round, giving a PDW better range, accuracy and armor-penetrating capability than submachine guns, which fire pistol-caliber cartridges. The class of weapon as it exists today evolved as a hybrid between a submachine gun and a carbine, retaining the compact size and ammunition capacity of the former while adding the ammunition power, accuracy and penetration of the latter."
(The Complete World Encyclopedia of Guns, page 90. Anness Publishing Ltd, 2008.)

Many progressives do not like cops carrying "assault rifles".
So, much as with other words for things that don't really exist, like "assault weapons", the cops and other security organizations made up a term less frightening for the weapons they carry to protect people who can afford to pay them.

Yea, the cops did a great job at Columbine. They cowered outside until the shooting stopped. Anybody who thinks the cops can save you during a mass shooting is delusional. Cops rarely prevent much. They come in later for clean-up.

The pants wetters are the ones wanting to ban guns. Their drawers are so soaked that they can't even think rationally.

    "Secretly envy"?

I don't hate gun nuts, and I certainly don't envy them. "Pity" is the closest descriptor of how I feel about people who are so afraid that they need to carry a gun whenever they leave the house.

I wonder if "big sis" only allows her security detail to carry scissors?

And yet, you nut jobs call for more armed guards that will magically appear when God waves his wand.

Really? I guess we all have different observations.
Pity is what I felt after hearing of someone begging for his life right before he was beaten to death. Sometimes I wish my cop friends wouldn't tell me about people I used to know.

I know how you feel on the subject, but I also don't remember you ridiculing anybody over it either.

I also know people who do hate anybody that will take responsibility for their personal security, simply because they are unable to do it for themselves.

They love to live in fear. It's like a drug to them...

Who do you think is pushing fear? The current anti civil rights campaign is in response to a rare act of crime. If you're more likely to get struck by lightning than be killed by a mass killer then there is more need for better weather reporting than gun control.

Yet there are the reactionary gun grabbers. Give up your rights in order to be safe. They are the ones pushing fear.

They followed their policy at the time. Much has changed in the last 15 years.

I don't ordinarily ridicule anyone about anything (although "young-earth creationists" tend to bring out the worst in me), but I was responding to your "secret envy" reference.

I own a handgun - a 1903 Army Colt (picture is off the Web, but almost identical to mine) that a relative carried in WWII - but I have no desire to carry it with me as I go about my business... and no envy of people who carry or wish to.

The odds of you getting shot to death(or shooting yourself to death) are almost the same as your odds of dying in a traffic accident. Yet there are far more regulations for vehicles than for guns...

    Hint Semi:

Nobody is going to take you guns. The thought that it is even possible is almost as crazy as believing putting armed guards in every school is a rational solution to the event last December.

    Now, who's being reactionary?

Then start banning cars if you really want to save lives. It is quaint that you have to include suicide to make the point.

In the meantime, keep'em scared of those assault rifles. You're more likely to be killed by a blunt object.

Do you remember when non-smoking sections were as far as cigarette bans were going to go? Proggies on a power whoring trip rarely stop. Better to cut off their fear mongering now, before it gets out of hand.
