Three things strike me as odd:

1. Why is he shooting level like a rifle at a target, and not like a shotgun at skeet up in the air?

2. That seems like an awful lot of smoke coming from a modern smokeless powder load. Possibilities: A. the smoke/gasses were enhanced by the dark background. B. They used a blank loaded with black-powder to give a visually striking image of a gun discharging. C. They photo-shopped the smoke...which brings me to the next question......

3. Look closely at the gas ports on the top barrel of the over/under shotgun. Why is smoke/gasses only coming out of the very top port hole and NOT also out of any of the adjacent side port holes??

My sharpshooter friends said EXACTLY what you stated in this post. It is a FAKE PICTURE! Though I must admit the "goofs" of this picture that have been photoshopped are absolutely hilarious!
