Glad to hear Byng will be coming home. If anyone is up to the task of a full recovery, it would be Byng. My best wishes my friend. Look forward to your return.

    Default More on Byng...

Byng came home today (17th). He and Mrs. Byng read through a print out of this thread, every single post (I'm told quite tearfully) and were quite gob-smacked by all the well wishes. Unfortunately Byng still cant remember his password to get into the site yet but says that when he does, he will come on and thank you personally, even if it is one handed.

Thanks again for your kind thoughts, keep them coming, they do strenghen them during this very difficult time.

    WKD.

It is imperative that Commander Byng remember the firing code as his beloved country is now under attack from North Korea and he must fire the boomer's ICBM's in retaliation immediately! Please relay this urgent message to Byng and let him know we wish him well and have faith he will save the Queen.

One suspected that there was a valid reason for stopping by here again and this thread is it. It is heartening to hear, Byng, my friend, that you have returned home. May the remainder of your recovery be both rapid and uneventful. Sooner, rather than later, your presence upon SunSpot will be norm yet again.

P.S. I have a bottle of scotch with your name on it but am unsure as to the address of where it should be sent. Remedy is required lest the unopened bottle of scotch prove to be too tempting.

Well done, Byng. All the best wishes on the slow climb back! Kindest thoughts for Mrs. Byng and Miss Byng as well. Mrs. Zen has been wrestling with similar infirmities so we understand well the strain this sort of thing has on everyone. It's the small kindnesses that carry us through. Get well, friend. This place is a republican funeral parlor without you.

Byng moved to Nipomo. I'll send you his new address.

Localization in Nipomo is a fate that is worse than that of the ceasement of consciousness itself. The combined mythologies of all sentient beings, in all times that were, are, will be and could be, across the span of the multiverse, are but mere shadow when it comes to describing the horrors of the actuality of Nipomo. For it is 'Nipomo' that is carried in the sibilant whispers of the anthropomorphized entropic devourer of the temporal dimension itself. Mere humanity can only but shudder and recoil, driven from sanity to spittle-flecked madness, at even the most minor of consideration of such an eldritch abomination.

Hmmm! I'll take Nipomo off of my bucket list then...

Byng has been making some progress in both his walking and talking but his right arm/hand apparently is still refusing to cooperate, hopefully time will sort that out. He is being released from the Rehab facility tomorrow, so Mrs. Byng has been busy preparing the home for his return and disabilities.

Mrs. Byng is very grateful for all your good wishes and reports them back to Byng, who she tells me is also very grateful for them.

I will give further updates as and when I receive them.

Thanks for your continued thoughts and support.

Great news. Prayers for a speedy recovery. By way of encouragement, my father had a stroke in 1997, and he's still with us.

    Nope.

Although that would be quite good, I ask that he comes back to us here with his regular wisdom, wit, charm, experience, etc.

    Byng and Mrs. Byng,

I hope you're both doing well, and each day brings more recovery and returns things closer to the daily routine as you knew it to be.

Briefly as there is little to report, Mrs. Byng told me a couple of days ago that there is little improvement at the moment and that Byng is still awaiting promised therapy.
