People get all worked up as if there's some static cap, but it's not like that. They need to make the right decisions in the off season -- get rid of Ed Reed, figure out what to do with Ngata, sign Joe to a LONG TERM deal, and no franchise crap. If they make the right moves, things will be fine for the foreseeable future. I think that's what makes this championship different than the first one.
For me it's because of the unfair abuse that he took for his play.

That's what I just said to my buddy. I honestly didn't care that much about Ray Lewis or Ed Reed. I was just thrilled that Joe finally got his due. It'll be interesting to see what the local and national sports "writers" have to say, and how the contract negotiations go. But Joe did it, and I'm most glad for him.

No doubt...that was all Flacco...all playoffs long. MVP of the entire Playoffs. He was awesome...11 TDs, no picks....awesome. Congrats Joe!

I'd give Flacco MVP for post-season but for the SB I give it to Boldin. He stepped up and kept the chains moving with one difficult catch after another. In fact the only easy pass he saw he dropped... probably shock. haha

LOL. Well Joe proved those naysayers (like myself) wrong with the playoff run. I really don't have a problem with the admission I was wrong about Joe. Didn't think he had it.
The good thing is that we have an opportunity to sign him and keep him. I hope we continue to see the Joe of the last 1.5 months. It's been great and he, along with the restructured line propelled us to victory.
What an incredible ride they gave us.

Bullcrap. Sign Joe to a non exclusive franchise tag/trade him so some desperate team will offer up two first round draft picks, then go sign Alex Smith, and the Ravens will be SO much further ahead. Don't you know ANYTHING about football? Yeeesh.
