I guess I'm the only one but I have to give Jim a pass on this one. That had to be a tough loss to take after coming back from 22 down

I think that statement sums it up and closes the door on any doubt about whether it should have been called or not.

on the Flacco hit, Simms said something to the effect of, they were out of bounds so the late hit rules don't apply to that situation.
What Simms said is once the QB takes off running, he is considered just like any other player running with the ball. And I agree with him on that.

Still, it was a late hit regardless of who had the ball. And Brady and Manning would have got that call.

Sure that pass will end up in intercepted like most of Capt. Comebacks.vv

That has to be the most ridiculous nickname every given to an athlete.

I heard that. Simms was talking about a QB being out of the pocket who then really becomes a RB. The problem Mr. Simms is even if you hit a RB out of bounds its a penalty. It doesnt matter what position the player is.

yeah, but there is also this thing called sportsmanship. He was throwing his headphones and papers all over the field like my 2 yr old reacts when he can't have a cookie.

That was his reaction to the offsides call when 2 of his players were flagged on the play. Was he mad at the players or the players being caught?

I'd think Jack might give him a talking to....

say "look how your brother handled last year's AFC championship game loss. That's how you do it."

Michael Crabtree, now there's a class act:

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100...uper-bowl-loss

"It is what it is, man," Crabtree said Sunday in quotes distributed by the NFL. "It was the last play, and I'm not going to blame the refs. It is what it is. It came down to the last play and it didn't happen. (If) somebody grabs me, you always expect the call, but you can't whine to the referee. It is what it is. You have to just take it like a man, take the ill."

Part of the problem might have been that Colin Kaepernick's pass clearly was overthrown. It didn't give Crabtree a chance to get anywhere near the ball.

"I mean, it felt like there was a lot of contact," Crabtree said. "I don't even want to say this, but if the ball had been a little lower, giving me a chance to make a play, I'm sure they would've called it. But it happened like that, man. I've got a lot of confidence in my offensive line and quarterback; we fought back. It was a comeback, and we gave it our all."
The teacher should take a lesson from his pupil.

That's why I said I guess I'm the only one. I don't necessarily agree that he should have reacted the way he did, but I get it
