    Yet when it comes to hunting rifles and police vests the intent does not matter. So when people say things like, "Hunters don't need armor piercing rounds that can shoot through police vests." they don't know what the hell they're talking about. They're completely missing the fact that a typical deer hunting rifle would be firing armor piercing rounds in regards to the body armor that police officers wear. It is either ignorance or a dishonest bait and switch.

    The fact is that a typical deer hunting rifle will be armor piercing to your typical police body armor whether it is intended to be or not.

    Right. And another charactersitic of the 'other' round is that it does not exist.
