That's correct. Clearly, he was NOT doing his job. Or else he wouldn't have been fired. If you're unclear on that concept, there's really nothing much to do to help you.

What was his job? I agree with you that the offense was becoming stagnant and predictable at that time.

I also believe that Harbaugh decided that the Ravens needed to move the whole offense to a higher level to have a chance in the postseason. Furthermore, he decided that it would not happen under Cam.

Obviously, he turned out to be right.

I agree on all counts. The question of this thread is: DESPITE all of that, should he still get a ring? And I believe he should -- for having taken the Ravens offense, and Joe, as far as he could.

Since the Ravens are a class organization, I believe he will get a ring.

He did have a lot to do to get the offense NEARLY to a point at which the offense could compete on the biggest stage. It took the change to Caldwell and Flacco's assumption of leadership to make that happen (so there was even a ring to be had).

You have to know that a ring will be put together for Art!

Despite the fact that you convinced me last year he should be canned, I don't see a problem with this. He pushed this along to a certain extent, his ceiling was just too low to get here, but he still provided a floor to build off of. I still liked his offenses better than most of the crud we had the last 5 years of the Billick era.

Sort of like Billick and Dilfer they may have their limitations but they also had their use and they can join my Raven party anytime.
