Default Boomer Esiason was nasty about Ray Lewis

I heard Boomer on TV and on radio today. I thought he was pretty nasty. I didn't know he was that kind of guy. He reminds me of Dave Johnson, the father of the pitcher for the Orioles who always acts pissed off about something.

I got a feeling that Boomer has an attitude towards the Ravens but didn't hear the Ray comments.

I suppose his remarks were better received nationally than around here, but I thought they were out of line. I used to like Boomer; now I don't. He is pandering to the Ray Lewis hype backlash. Haters will hate.

Boomer and Hasselbeck cannot stand it that Flacco is twice the QB they were.

I think twice is being generous. Maybe twice if you combine both of their entire careers to Flacco's 5 years haha.

It was rumored that Esiason was kicked off the set yesterday because he had issue with Ray and couldn't play well and get along with the rest of the analysts.

I saw his comments, no doubt where he stood .....

the comments in the news followed Shannon Sharpe's interview with Ray about the Atlanta incident ......

"I'm not so sure that I buy the answer," Esiason said in a live segment after the interview aired.

"It's a complex legacy that we're talking about," he continued. "[Lewis] was involved in a double murder, and I'm not so sure he gave us all the answers that we were looking for. He knows what went on there. And he can obviously come out and say it. But he doesn't want to say it. He paid off the families."

I posted yesterday that I thought he other comment about Ray were a bit much more because of how he sounded. To me he sounded angry and bitter.

Maybe Boomer or anyone else who feel they need to stand up and speak out about what really happened that night help advance the story. Much of what is known about that night is never talked about in the media.

I'm sorry, I'm a big 52 fan, but his answer that "God doesn't make mistakes" is a little strange when two people lost their lives.

it's interesting that Ray continues to be kicked around about the Atl. situation. but when it came to Vick, all the analysts said the same thing, "it's time to move on from that now".

I realize taking a human life is a bigger crime than taking a dog's life. but since Ray didn't kill anyone, and Vick did kill dogs, why is one guy given a pass and the other not? Vick isn't likely to see the superbowl, but if he does, will Boomer grind him about the dog fighting ring he personally financed?

My guess is that he means his life and God would not reward him with the life he has had. I would also guess that someone like Ray, in regards to his beliefs, the two lives lost were a result of the evil that is in the world which is controlled by someone other than God.

I'm sure Ray believes that God has shown us the way we should live and he also gives us free will to make choices in life, good and bad and we have to live with this choices. The two guys who died that not made a choice to attack a group of people and the result was they were killed. Not saying they deserved it but if they had moved on and not bothered the group Ray was with then they would have not me that fate that night.

Again I'm just guessing at all of this and how he may view what happened if he were to really open up.

A white person would NEVER have gone to prison for the same offense.

Baltimore don't need no Boomer Esiason. I used to be a fan, but no longer.

Baltimore also doesn't need 49ers fans to admit their team was beated fair and square by a team that out performed their's.

I didn't take it to mean the rewards he has in his life but in the way he uses his life to praise God with his charitable endeavors and the way he lifts others' spirits.

Where does Esaison come off saying that Ray Lewis knew more than he's already told? It's a totally reckless, unsubstantiated comment by a yellow journalist trying to capture a relevancy he just doesn't have. Ray Lewis should never answer any questions about the case. He gave his answers to authorities in the presence of his lawyers and that's all he should do. Lewis is not a lawyer himself and doesn’t know how law enforcement can twist a person's words to make them seem guilty even for an act they've never committed.

    Arrogant and lazy "journalism"!

Trying to disguise his opinion as a report.
