Just got back. Just like Joe said it was effing awesome.
Live in the neighborhood and knew they were running late, so didn't leave until around 11:00. Drove a little closer and parked at a friend's house closer where there's permit parking, so there was no problem getting a space. Could tell there was going to be a lot of people so we went to the parade route and got a pretty good spot on Pratt Street just east of Light. Parade didn't get to us until about noon. The crowd was huge and very patient. By the time Lewis got to us, people from the earlier parade route had gotten through the barriers and were pretty much walking/running the route to the stadium, which was already filled to capacity. I think the players were very impressed with the crowd. Lots of cheering for everyone with the team. When the parade was over, we went into Tir Na Nog for lunch. They had TVs all over the place so we were able to watch everything from the stadium.
Here's some images from the local station.
To retaliate in kind would do nothing but intensify the existence of hate in the universe. Along the way of life, someone must have sense enough, and morality enough, to cut off the chain of hate. ~~ MLK
