The Pentagon has decided to extend certain benefits to the spouses of gay and lesbian personnel, according to officials and people notified about the decision, responding to the increasingly vocal appeals of same-sex couples in the military.

Generals need a hobby (Lord knows, their profession's lost on 'em), & since no one (Allen, Petraeus) can handled the hetero-ships very well, maybe try some same-o/same-o.

Anyone see the connection betw. armed forces peripheral obsessions of the past 40 yr (drug testing, wim-in-combat, et al.) & their utter disdain for that oath they all take?
