Haven't we learned yet not to release the name of the suspect until the story turns out to be true?

No we haven't. And there have been too many cases like this where the victim has recanted for me to form an opinion based on the information in this article.

Any bets "DeShawn Rasheed Jones" is a Section-8 recipient?

Perhaps you should contact the property owners and get the answer to your question.

I know that he was CHARGED with the rape of the girl. It wouldn't surprise me in the least that the story will change and the girl will recant. Don't act like it hasn't happened before.

Half a million bail is pretty high for a simple "he said she said" case as you suggest. I would think there is some convincing evidence to support the charges that the judge considered when he set it.

What a joke! Are you surpised at a $500,000.00 bail? I know you are not.

What are you saying? Do you know details of this case that we don't?

Bail is usually set by a court commissioner, then reviewed by a judge. The initial bail was $500,000, and stayed the same upon bail review.

I have to agree. This kid was charged as an adult.

My guess is that this rape was particularly heinous and there is sufficient evidence to support the case. Interesting how people seem to be siding with the alleged rapist, rather than the victim. Given how this case is being dealt with, I'll trust that people are doing their jobs.

Every case is different. Just because some females have cried wolf, it doesn't mean every female will. I feel bad for this girl.

If tried and found guilty, they can cut off his family jewels for all I care. However, for the girl's sake, I hope that it's not true.

This case is a baby and not even 72 hours old at this point. My reply did not state who is right or who was wrong. All we have is one side of a two-sided fold. I thought you were innocent until proven guilty, that obviously does not apply to certain groups just seeing how quickly conclusions are being drawn here.

If Mr.Jones was in Harford County and looked differently than Mr.Jones would not have received such a large bail. Mr.Jones bail is set at $500,000.00

In Bel Air a very similar act was claimed in December in which the young man received only a $25,000.00 bail but yet some believe the system is 100% Just. Carry On.
