A Connecticut woman was arrested at the children’s restaurant Chuck E. Cheese in Newington on Monday after she was accused of pulling her gun and chambering a round while threatening another mother.

According to Newington police, 30-year-old Tawana Bourne brandished a .380 semi-automatic handgun and chambered a round while arguing with another woman, the New Haven Register reported. Both women were at the restaurant with children.

Restaurant employees quickly called police, who separated the women and confiscated Bourne’s handgun. Police said that Bourne had a legal Connecticut permit to carry the weapon.

I would hope she is charged with assault with a deadly weapon and/or reckless endangerment (of children).

This idiot, based on the details in the story, is not fit to possess a CCW permit.

No, I would think not. And her CCW should be revoked if not already done so.

    But who knows?

Do you remember the North Hollywood shootout of 1997?

Both Larry Phillips and Emil Mătăsăreanu had been arrested a few months before for illegal weapons possession, including illegally held automatic weapons, and a judge ordered that the confiscated firearms be returned by the police, including the illegally held automatic weapons, after dropping the case on illegal search and seizure grounds.

And this occurred in California, a place hardly friendly to gun owners. I can see dropping the case against the two for improper procedure, but giving back illegal automatic weapons?
