Default NFL Championships: Baltimore v Pittsburgh v Washington

I did some research. Please check my math and history, I THINK they are correct:

Steelers 1933-2013= 80 yrs, no NFL championships, 6 Super Bowls: 6/80= 7.5% championship efficiency

Baltimore Colts 1952-1983 and Baltimore Ravens 1996-2013 for a total of 48 years,
2 NFL championships and 3 Super Bowls between them: 5/48 = 10.4% championship efficiency

Washington Redskins 1937-2013= 76 years, 2 NFL championships, 3 Super Bowls, 5/76= 6.6% championship efficiency

If you just look at the age of the Ravens franchise and championships, we're 2/17= 11.8% championship efficiency.

    Looks like we're ahead!

[And of course, I did not count the Canadian Football League championship and the USFL championship we won]

    interesting points

    the bigger picture:

Out of the 32 teams in the NFL - 14 have yet to win a Super Bowl. That's 44% of the teams in the NFL that have never won a Super Bowl.

Baltimore Ravens have 2 in 17 years.

And only 1 current NFL city has neither played in nor hosted a Super Bowl.

The perennial loser city & team:

    The Cleveland Steamers.

Just for trivia sake...Baltimore Colts won three NFL championships (year of SBIII they were NFL champs).

As with Minnesota the following year, nothing either city wants to brag about.

Since the Colts stuff really doesn't matter anymore, but you can say Baltimore has 3 rings, and if we make the playoffs next year it will be the hunt for BaltiFOUR since every franchise needs to have an annoying name when they go for their next ring. See "Sixburgh"

Anyway, since the Ravens arrived in 1996, they've won 2 rings, as much as any other team except for the Patriots.

We've got an elite QB and we're an elite franchise. It was arguable before Sunday, but now it's a stone cold, lead pipe fact.

You're absolutley right, SBIII was NFL v AFL. So should we say 3 NFL Championships and one Super Bowl for the Colts? Even better. 6/48= 12.5% championship efficiency.

couldn't happen to a more deserving franchise and fanbase. Screw the Cleveland Clowns. Their futility brings me pleasure

this kinda crap really chaps my ***.
It may not matter to younger Ravens fans who don't know any better but it sure does matter to us older ones.

The SB V trophy resides in OUR Sports Legends museum.
The sb rings that indy got depict 1 (one) Lombardi Trophy.
The baltimore colts ceased to exist after March of '84...what they did and do AFTER that is of no concern to us!

The "TEAM" is Baltimore Football...quit splitting hairs between Baltimore Ravens and baltimore colts, logo's and colors CAN change, we know that better than anyone.

What happens if God forbid our ownership down the road goes through an upheaval like San Fran did and then there are no more Ravens in Baltimore? You're not going to forget what was accomplished HERE.
