    How many wins this year?

How many sold out home games?

Probably 8 wins. I doubt they will sell out any games. Maryland is a pro football State with a fairweather alumni and fan base.

Chance of a bowl game this year is great. Coach Randy is laying the foundation for years of consecutive bowl games.

8-4? Not a chance. 6-6 maybe if they get on a good run.
I would think somewhere between 2-10 and 4-8 would be most likely.
Big Ten for the year after and we may be fighting to get a single win.
Might be the worst hire in the history of Maryland athletics.

We will see. I can tell you won't enjoy the season no matter what their record is. Sucks to be you. You can always grab your pink button down and tie and head down to Charlottesville on Saturdays. No one will miss you or care.

Interesting. Former season ticket holders are not missed at the school?
That seems to be the opposite of what I have been reading. I was under the impression that attendance at the games was a problem. The nice man that calls and emails me all football and basketball season seems to feel that way.

Pretty sad what a fairweather fan base MD has.

When the AD comes in and fires a winning coach in favor of a loser this fan chooses to wait out better days.

The AD came in with a mission to change/destroy all existing athletic traditions in campus.

In reality, they should have been at least 6-6 this year. Certainly, having 4 QB's suffer season-ending injuries was unchartered territory for any team.

Aren't you the same guy who still thinks Billick is an upper-tier coach? I have a love-hate relationship with Edsall but I am not apt to take your coaching observations into account.

Never said that. We agree you are not apt.

I read the Ravens board. You don't like the best coach in Baltimore Ravens history, yet you hold Billick in the highest regard. Absolutely baffling.

The players win games. What is baffling is you knuckle-dragging morons can't wrap your tiny brains around that.

Since Md moves to the B1G in 2014, I think it's interesting to see where they would rank (based on this one class) in the Big Ten.

    From ESPN:

    #3 OSU
    #6 Michigan
    #23 Nebraska
    #24 PSU
    #33 Wisc
    #35 MSU
    #37 Rutgers
    #44 Indiana
    #45 Maryland
    #47 Illinois
    #50 Purdue
    #51 Northwestern
    #59 Iowa
    #75 Minn

So, Md looks to be in the middle +/- 2 of the pack. But this is only one year, and recruiting rankings is highly subjective (ie, not very accurate).

    In the ACC:

    #9 FSU
    #13 Clemson
    #19 VaTech
    #20 UNC
    #21 Miami
    #34 Virginia
    #41 Pitt
    #45 Maryland
    #60 Wake
    #64 GaTech
    #65 Duke
    #66 NC State
    <#75 Syracuse

So, Maryland is also in the middle +/- of the ACC pack.

    So coaches don't matter?

They matter much more in college than the pros. But try to stay on topic here.

Do you hate that scum bag hoops coach MD hired too?

I don't think either coach is a scum bag. Basketball recruiting has improved. As far and play on the court I would say that the jury is still out. It was time for Gary to go and the exit appeared to be handled with respect (from the outside anyway).

Both the football and basketball teams had atrocious academic records. If nothing else I would like to improvement there

Yeah, Turgeon's recruits looked great today. I hope he withholds payment from them and their AAU coaches for that dud against UVa.

Did you wear your orange and blue tie today?

Why would you think I am a UVA fan?
I did not attend either ACC school. But I am a Terps fan (wearing a terps shirt now in fact). I have bought season tickets to both football and basketball in the past and I have been to 4 basketball games this season (plus I have tickets for the Duke game). The basketball team has disappointed this year. No doubt about it. He got the talent and does not have the in-game skills that Gary had. Next years class looks even better (and much better than the football team's class).
I hate this AD and I hope he is a short timer.
