    Default Christie's Weight

Does anyone think Christie's morbid obesity would be factor in his run for the White House, Assuming he makes one of course.

My knee-jerk reaction is no, but something to think about. Two things: lack of discipline and the greater risk he has of serious health issues early in life.

    Feel sort of mean though.

    Yes. He's a tubbo.

He might actually be a guy who eats healthy and jogs 5 miles a day, but the perception is that he's a fatarse glutton who can't manage to push himself away from the all you can eat pasta bowl at Olive Garden.

People who eat healthily don't have an extra hundred pounds or two. Guarantee you he binges.

I am inclined to agree with you on this one.

However, it's technically possible that he's just a genetically doomed fatarse.

Sadly, yes it will. Makes no difference to me though.

The problem is if he doesn't lose weight (at least 100 pounds) and tries to run the campaign will KILL him. Running for President is a 18 days awake for 7 days a week and bad eating habits. Candidates usually gain weight because they are eating quick fast food meals between campaign events.

    I agree.

I like Governor Christie, and I sincerely do worry about his health with all the extra girth and what it portends. For his sake and that of his family, I hope he takes the necessary steps to get healthier and lose weight.

I like Gov.Christie but I don't think he'll make it to the Whitehouse. He actually looks as though he's picked up more weight lately. I keep thinking he's going to explode. D___ twinkies.

Definitely would be a factor. The left on this board was brutal talking about him...until he praised Obama. Then he's suddenly an ok guy.

It has become ok to make remarks about his weight, but only now that he went sort of moderate. When he was seen as a staunch righty they would get upset about any mention of it. Now he is fair game like anyone else. Funny how that works.

Indeed. The sheep will change in an instant as both our posts point out.

Funny how the "inclusive party of tolerance" would unfairly judge a politician by his weight.

All Democrat fatties get a pass, though.

Babs M must be 4'10" and pushing 200, but never seen any leftie criticism of her tonnage.

Sotamayor is XXXXL as well, but of course she's qualified and her weight isn't an issue.

Seen Al Gore lately? That neckmeat's getting so large he must wear a 20" shirt by now.

And of course, Drunken Teddy in a bathing suit was the model of fitness, and he was accepted 100% by the LWNJs.

Or that he stopped acting like such an enormous jerk and stuck up for his state, and suddenly, surprise! People liked him better. But that ruins your "Both sides!" schtick, doesn't it?

Health is always an issue for a presidential candidate and the risks associated with morbid obesity are well known.

Actually, with the phrase "enormous jerk" you've proven my point. Thanks.

It was funny after years of Kennedy and Gore's weight being national jokes, all of the sudden the right had found a politician whose weight it was taboo to mention. Then he stuck up for his state against the GOP and he is fair game again.

Actually, that would imply the opposite of the point you tried so feebly to make. Thanks.

His weight is an enormous factor, he's way too fat to become president. My best guess is he's pushing 350 easy.

I haven't seen anyone defending his weight, just posts about how the Dems are hypocrites.

Christie would need to lose 200 pounds to be seriously considered.

Actually, if he officially announced that he was running and then turned his lifestyle into a healthy one, he actually may get more votes because of it, especially if his turnaround is super noticable.

That is my opinion only, I have no links.

Hope anyone affected by this nasty winter storm stays safe.

    Happy Friday everyone.
