The final nail in the coffin. Should be interesting to see what the midget does.

In keeping with the Hogettes and the wasteful spending going on in DC, I recommend the Porkers.

The team should be called the Washington Napoleons, after their "great" leader (owner). They can have a half-time show with fireworks and call it The Napoleon Dynamite Show!

how about the "Also Rans" since that pretty much sums up the team during the Danny years.

this is the biggest "change the name" protest (for lack of better word) I'm aware of. now that the museam and the mayor are starting to speak out, there may be real steam to push for a name change. rather than wait until the protests get out of hand, he should just be proactive and turn it into a contest. or just go with the Braves or something complimentary. the helmet isn't bad. I can't imagine the profile of an Indian is offending anyone. change the name, keep everything else and move on.

Why don't they just call them the "Native Americans"? Seriously couldn't they pick a local tribe name? They wouldn't have to change the logo and the native groups would not object.

I suggest the Washington Meat Heads. At the end of the game you always seem to see the fork go in. They are usually done!!!!!

Indians, or whatever they're called, DO NOT LIKE being called "native Americans." They will tell you that they are not Americans. They were here long before America was.

It could be that you are correct for some. But here in South Dakota where we have a large population of Lakota Sioux I believe that is how they refer to themselves. We are the only State to observe "Native American Day" that is on MLK day.

How about Alcoholic Casino Owners or just go with Team That Beats Medicore Teams Who End Up Winning Super Bowl since that is accurate three years running.

Also, not sure how some liberal judge and activist Indians mean the name is toast. They've lost in court before and will again.

I personally like the Redskins name, but my ancestry is from Germany and Holland. I might get upset if the team would be called the Washington Krauts; but then again probably not.
