I'm still waiting for someone who defends the team's name to walk up to a group of Native Americans and call them "redskins" to their face. If it's such a harmless name, then there shouldn't be any hesitation in testing it out. Please let me know what the reaction was and that will solve this debate real quick.

Also unlike you, I was at the grand opening to the museum of the American Indian. There was a native band playing and the lead singer was total decked out in Redskins gear. This was in 2004. So tell me why this man, an Indian at the grand effing opening of the museum for these OFFENDED people would dare wear all Redskins gear? I expect as little response as I have received in regards to my question about the high school teams on reservations calling themselves this supposed pejorative.

Despite claim to the contrary, Gina never gave an answer because there isn't one that suits his agenda. The fact it that Indians named their own sports teams the Redskins. That is more than enough to prove it isn't some vile racist word.
