When George Preston Marshall bought the franchise in 1932 and moved it to Washington, he wanted to change the name from the Braves (Boston Braves, remember?) but wanted to keep the Native American theme and the Washington "Senators" did not do so.

I read one bio of Marshall and learned that he was an avid reader of Western novels...and, if I had to guess, admired the grit and determination of the "Indians". That might be the reason he wanted to stay with the theme, but named the team "The Redskins".
    makes sense to me.

again hail2bng, yet another incorrect supposition from you.

You and your so called friend (at least he or she knows how to spell Harjo's name) have zero credibility on the matter.

On the other hand, Suzan Harjo has over her lifetime achieved a wealth of credibility.

All you've achieved is creating chuckles with your continued desperate bias and petulant denial.

You lose every time you harp on inconsequential crap. You have no counter to any of the arguments. You didn't even know who Harjo was before I mentioned her and you have no clue at all other than you ignorantly chose a side of an issue and you can't support your side.

Also, you're the petulant one stomping your proverbial feet without a single good argument. Maybe you should go back to your obsession with pools of urine.

Tell me what the flaws are with my friends article.

The only inconsequential crap here are your ridiculous posts.

There is no "argument", this is a thread of exchanged thoughts and statements, original and/or otherwise.
I've consistently countered and support any statements with credible links from credible people and sources to which you respond with childish dismissal and spin with one silly biased lame excuse after another.

Your assumption that you introduced Suzan Harjo to anyone is hysterical. I've had discussions and disagreements on this matter of the racist and offensive r-word long before you began your trolling here.

Sad that you can't refute one thing then. Not one. You really shouldn't hop on arguments when you don't have the ability to defend the side you've chosen. All you have done is dismiss any counterpoints outright without actually refuting any. You're a lot like Harjo the harlot for attention.

I haven't been following this thread, but HAIL2BNG automatically loses whatever argument he's trying to make by virtue of the fact that his team lost this year and the Ravens won.

Of course I was referring to some regular season game and not the games that actually mattered

I recommend being more clear in the future. Especially when the two teams in question played each other.

Only a fan of a loser team would consider a regular season game two weeks before Christmas to be as consequential as the Super Bowl. But is it just my "inferiority complex" showing again?

Only a moron would say "my team won and your team lost" when the only head to head game they played didn't end that way.

Sorry to disagree, but while head-to-head matches are important (it is the number 2 criteria in determining playoff rankings), it is only one or two contests - and those that can go either way.

However, the path to the SB is 16 regular season games and up to 4 playoff games!

Furthermore, the NFL is a results league...at the end of the year, only one team possesses the Lombardi Trophy. In 2012 season, it was the Ravens.

Let's look to the future in lieu of arguing over a single game.

The 'Skins have a great young QB and other players that form the core of what might become a great NFC team! So enjoy the fact that things are looking up!

The Ravens have a great team (5 straight playoff runs, 3 times in the AFC Championship game, 1 SB) now built around Flacco and a dangerous offense (Wow, never thought I'd be saying that!); a mix of veterans and young players that have shown it can win it all and does not seem to be ready to go away any time soon.

I'd say life is good for both sets of fans!

"Troll: In Internet slang, a troll (pron.: /ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is someone who posts inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[3] "
Kind of like posting a topic about the Redskins in a Raven's forum... or making personal attacks against a specific poster for no reason other than his team affiliation???

Yeah, it's Hail that's the troll....
