I don't know about this. If the Jets, Giants or Patriots make it, then yea it's possible. But it all depends on the weather. If it's below freezing I can't see more demand than what New Orleans had this year.
I was willing to pay much more $$$ this year to goto New Orleans (granted it was my first Super Bowl), but I can't see emptying my bank account next year to sit in what will most likely be harsh elements. When I think about how much earlier I had to leave my hotel in New Orleans to avoid the crowds and to enjoy the pregame festivities, that's just more time than I want to spend outside in New Jersey. Think about it, fans could be in the elements from 10am to 11pm at night - unless they provide warm tents for ticket holders.
New Orleans is a great spot for a Superbowl. So much time is spent at pregame parties and events that it does seem stupid (as Joe said) to have it in a cold city. That's a lot of walking and time spent outside.
If the Ravens make it next year, I'll wait until close to game day to see where tickets are and what the weather is like. If the price is extremely reasonable and the weather isn't to bad I may purchase.
Advantage of this is no long halftime show.
Eli has always played well in the cold so it won't bother him.
Well, if the Ravens make it to Super Bowl XLVIII, and if my name gets picked in the season ticket holders’ lottery, then I will definitely purchase tickets to the game. My brother lives about fifteen minutes from the stadium, so I would be able to sleep on the floor in his apartment in North Jersey.
