    She can't.

She absolutely cannot win a statewide general election in Maryland. Period.

In fact, I highly doubt she could win a contested Republican primary.

You think there is O'Malley fatigue? I think the Maryland GOP has pretty much had enough of the Ehrlichs.
Your right I said could. In life anything could happen. BE beating KKT, Obama beating Hillary.
She has always been more likable than him. She is not KKT.
But all of this depends on the AA Executive job.

No, not everything can happen. No 60 year olds will make the Orioles opening day roster this year.

No woman can be elected Pope to replace Benedict.

And no Ehrlich can win the Governor's race in Maryland in 2014.

Bongino certainly seems to have a hard time making up his mind since losing in the last election. He seems to frequently change statements about seeking, and then not seeking various positions in government and within the MDGOP.

I wonder if he was asked to step down to help pave the way for Kendel? There are a lot of at~will appointments a caretaker county executive could make. Perhaps Bongino would get one for stepping aside ~ should Kendel be selected.

It seems that he changed his blog address!

He basically referred to her as a "political zombie" who was "seeking relevancy"!

    Linky

I wonder what "Uncle Fester" will have to say about it on his "Cecil Calvert" blog thingy, or if he'll ignore it since he seems to have relocated to West Virginia.

It's pretty funny that some of you are still obsessed with LC! (and Ehrlich) Lord Calvert has moved on in life. He certainly isn't obsessed by skumspot.

BTW...I know many of the Calvert Clan and they are not too happy about what their founding state has become. But, that is also a large percentage of Marylanders from all places except Baltimore City, PG and Moco.

It is always sad and amusing when the partisan MdCrats love Lying Joe Steffen.

Guess what? The guy is just as much of a scumbag as he was when he was working for Ehrlich.

Here is the link to the Richard Cross piece mentioned on there. It talks about using government employees to babysit, among other things, and missing the chefs.

heck no.....in Maryland anyone can vote....sometimes more than once......just go to the MVA and get registered......no citizenship or proof of residency is required........we even let people who have "passed" to the other side vote.....just ask Ellen Ellen Sauerbrey

Didn't she go to court over that ~ lose ~ and then run again, only to lose by a much greater margin?

Who said they love Joe Steffen?

For that matter, who said I am a Democrat?

Read the piece. It refers to Marianne Pelura's assessment of Kendel's candidacy. Ms. Pelura is certainly not a Democrat.

A few years ago I went to the MVA to renew my driver’s license, the clerk asked if I was registered to vote. I said no, I am a legal resident not a citizen – she asked “does it matter?”

Laura Neuman was selected. Kendel did not make the final four.

If her past is any indication, Ms. Neuman is an excellent choice and will bring a lot to that county.

I did. Even since JS started bad mouthing Ehrlich the O'Malley and Murphy hacks have been acting as if Steffen was the epitome of ethics.

    Nobody. Yet. But you are.

I did. Typical garbage from a bitter hack, I can see why you liked it.

If Ken Ulman likes her I doubt I will like her politics.

But as you predicted the GOP Councilman split their votes:

Councilman John Grasso, R-Glen Burnie, voted for Hammond, while Councilmen Dick Ladd, R-Severna Park, and Derek Fink, R-Pasadena, voted for Schuh.

Initially, both Trumbauer and Benoit voted for David Cordle, former Annapolis alderman and special investigator in the Anne Arundel State's Attorney's office. Benoit switched his vote during the second round, and Trumbauer during the third.

To say that Laura Neuman is an exceptional individual and a leader that has already produced exceptional results in the private and public sector based on her own efforts and leadership and entrenpreneurial instincts is an understatement. She is exactly what the MDGOP needs. Her choice seems to be as wise as it is a wonderful surprise.
