The Ravens have a solid D without Suggs?

Good lord, man. He obviously needs to be replaced, but he's not worth the money he's being paid. What part of that don't you get?

Having Suggs in freed up Kruger to get more done.

Suggs and Ngata will be Ravens in 2013, after this year it could be up in the air. The Ravens will figure things out where Joe will get a good fair contract that both sides can agree on and the Ravens can have a good team around him.

That's most likely the case. But whether it's the best case for the Ravens cap-wise remains to be seen. The Ravens have made mistakes in the past with big contracts that simply have not panned out in proportion to the amount of money paid. But that's just the way it is. In and of itself, that would be one thing. But this constant nonsense about how Joe should be giving a hometown discount, and Joe's demands are what's messing up the cap, etc. is why I'm pointing out the real truth about the cap. NO PLAYER -- not Ray Lewis, not Ed Reed, not Suggs, not Ngata, not Rice, etc. have given the Ravens a hometown discount. Not one of them. And ALL of their salaries have contributed to the current cap crunch. So it's time to knock it off about Joe already. He's the ONE player who actually can and does put the team on his back and allows them to win. No other player contributes as much, and definitely not more, than Joe. That's the nature of a genuine franchise QB. And that's who Joe is -- a franchise QB who deserves to be paid as such. The rest will simply have to be worked out accordingly.

Suggs makes that D better. It makes everyone around him better. Same with Ngata when he's in.

They have some tough decisions. I can see Reed and Boldin gone. I think McKinney is necessary. I think Ellerbee will be back. But I can see Kruger, Williams, Leech, Koch and others in other uni's next year. Hope I'm wrong. I'm a big fan of Leech , Boldin and I like Kruger. Webb makes Williams less likely to stay. As for Koch, they've let punters go before.

    Lot of decisions.

At a price. And the price is $24.5M. That's a lot of money. Do you honestly think that for that amount of money the Ravens couldn't do better as far as improving the defense? 33 tackles/5 sacks for Ngata @ $11.5M?!!! Seriously?!!!!
