Default Cleveland Browns fantasize about getting Joe Flacco

Its amazing to me how anyone would ever entertain the idea that Joe Flacco will leave Baltimore.

If anyone doubts that Joe would be scooped up in a heartbeat if he's placed on the non-restrictive "franchise" designation just read this story.

From a drug using Browns fan from the Browns forum on Scout.com:

"I don't understand what the fascination is with Flacco. He has always been an average QB. He had one good post season, other than that I have never seen anything special from that guy.

In addition, Chud wants a gun slinger. Call me crazy but Flacco does not have a cannon of an arm that Chud likes. I just don't think we should go this route and spend tons of money on this guy. This team has lots of holes to fill in before they worry about a QB."

I still find it funny that Browns fans trash Flacco as if they have beaten the Ravens multiple times since he's been here, they are 0-10 against the Ravens since he's been here. Every offseason they expect the Ravens to fall apart and for them to rise from the ashes and they continue to be the same ole losers as always. Now some of them actually think they have a realistic shot at getting our QB, will they ever learn?

C'mon, man...have a little compassion for the Browns fans. After all...they're BROWNS fans. And "who's got it better than they do?" EVERYBODY!!!

I used to know a Browns fan and he always went on about how Charlie Frye was the next Brett Favre...

Peter King spent a large chunk of this week's MMQB considering the same scenario, along with a couple others, where the Ravens let Flacco get away...

It's the off-season. They have nothing concrete to write about now. So the fantasy articles start to pop up.

The Ravens are going to lose some names in FA. They have some young guys they'll count on to step up. They'll likely have 10 or 11 draft picks allotted in each of the next two drafts. Those 20 to 22 picks over the next two years will probably determine if this team stays an annual contender, turns in to a mini-dynasty, or falls back to the pack for a while.

But Joe's not going anywhere any time soon...

Looks like they also have an interest in Kruger and Mike Wallace.

Kruger and/or Wallace are the much more likely scenarios for Cleveland. The Ravens will either sign or franchise Joe, but I don't see how they'll be able to keep Reed. I expect him in NE next season.
