Congratulations to both Banana Joe and Swagger for their victory and performance at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog show yesterday!

A tiny black affenpinscher named Banana Joe won the coveted Best in Show award at the 137th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show on Tuesday, beating out more than 2,700 others for a title that guarantees canine fame, great dating and mating opportunities, and a chance to ring the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange.

Swagger, a 20-month-old Old English sheepdog, stunned many observers, entering as a "class" dog and defeating far more seasoned competitors to win the herding dog category Monday. Swagger was a clear crowd favorite but came in second to Banana Joe in the final judging.

Great dogs both of them.

But as a owner of an AKC yellow Lab, I have to wonder why a Lab has failed to win the WKC best of show for years if ever, despite being the most popular breed in the country.


Whatever, all dogs are cool in their own way even if they don't know a show from a shoe,lol.

So true. Our neighbor has a chocolate lab that is just adorable, as are most dogs.

I never heard of Banana Joe's breed before, but he's a cutie.

I watched it and was rooting for the German Wirehaired Pointer but Banana Joe was good also.
