    Default Ravens alternate helmet

I imagine this is permitted for a game or 2 each year since other teams have done it...

I would love to see the Shield on the helmet for a game or 2 every season. It would be a great marketing strategy as far as sales also.

    Steve, Dick... get this done.

You mean the helmet from '96? Wasn't there a legal issue with this?

No, that's the 'flyin' B'... I mean the logo that's on the center of the field and shoulder. The state police patch.

    It would look great!

The Browns are getting 'new' uniforms... this is a new era for the Ravens... it would be a nice touch/change for 1 game a year.

I thought there was talk of using the shield at one time but the team didn't like how it looked or just didn't think it worked.

I like the shield but think this looks better on the side of the jersey sleeve as they had at one time.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cleveland is dumb enough to have a helmet with a picture of a helmet on it:

    The infinite helmets... lol

The Browns have the lamest logos in all of sports including every high school in America.
The leprechaun is stupid. The bulldog is a lame one. They should come up with a mean looking bulldog and go with that.

I'd love to see the outstretched Raven on the helmet.

I especially like the uniforms with the road lines down the sides.
It helps the opposing team stay in between the lanes as they run the Browns players over.

I think the Browns actually have some classic uniforms. I don't care much for the color scheme but I like that they've kept them the same largely for the entire length of the franchise.

I think the "B" logo on the helmet isn't bad but the Browns aren't supposed to have a logo on their helmet.

As for the Ravens alternate helmet....I'd like to see the cursive "B" blown up bigger and put on a purple helmet.

    It's because they're a crappy team.

Now is the perfect time to re-do the Ravens uniforms.

The purple bird with and white beak and a B needs to go, and the shield is lame.

They should go with a more classic, less busy look. I wouldn't be hard to do.

If there is to be an alternate helmet DO NOT make it purple, minnesota looks horrible with purple helmets and purple jerseys, always have.

RAVENS are black with a purple hue..let's keep it that way.

AS for the "B" the Ravens use, I've never liked it.
What they should do is adopt the "Old English B" that the old Orioles used to use and sell. The Ravens should replace the ugly "B" in their shield with this and the coaches should wear the "English "B" caps during games plus it would add a more Gothic look to shield.
The letter in purple outlined in gold on a black cap with a purple bill.
The Orioles also should replace the dumb "O's" cap with this one on Friday night games and they should also put an orange bill on the cap too. It would be a uniting universal Baltimore sports thing only separated by team colors!

I'm surprised the NFL isn't encouraging them to do so. It would be a gold mine!

The Baltimore Ravens Md Flag shield is ANYTHING but "lame"...it's gorgeous and unique.

Having the shield at midfield of our playing surface helps to make our field the best looking in the NFL from a television viewers point of view.

I read or heard that Peter King and others think it's one of the best logo's in football, maybe in all of sports. It's a great look and theres a lot of pride involved with it and.....it isn't going anywhere.
I love it as it is, a secondary, additional logo and not as a main logo.

As for the Raven bird head on the helmet...I've never seen a Raven with a white beak.
Why does it have to be a cartoon?
Considering todays technology I'd like to see a work-up of what could be done with an actual close up photograph of a real Raven with the same side head view and augmented with a red eye. That pic could be outlined with a grey, soft white and or gold shade to make it stand out from the black helmet.

I like them the way they are. And they're much less busy than they were in the 90s.

The merchandise is selling very well, too. Teams usually change their uniforms when they either stink, and/or need a boost in merch sales.

I agree, put shield on helmet one game per year and change "B' logo to old Orioles type B.

What they need is a jersey with a picture of a football on it. That offense needs all the help it can get.

(Yes, I know it's been done before, about 80 years ago).

Would this Ravens helmet be too 'in your face' to wear during the Steelers and Browns away games or Patriots home game?

Here's the helmet with shield logo!
