Default Massive Venereal Disease Epidemic Sweeps Nation

The studies reveal new infection data, some of it available for the first time, for the eight most common STIs -- chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes, human papillomavirus (HPV), hepatitis B, HIV, and trichomoniasis. The studies, which estimate infection rates and medical costs related to STIs, were published in the journal Sexually Transmitted Diseases.

The studies, which estimate infection rates and medical costs related to STIs, were published in the journal Sexually Transmitted Diseases.

Meanwhile, STI prevention and awareness programs targeting other infections are also critical. For example, Satterwhite estimated 820,000 new gonorrhea infections in 2008. While the U.S. has largely escaped it so far, drug-resistant gonorrhea is slowly spreading around the world. Condoms offer protection against gonorrhea, as well as chlamydia, HPV and other STDs, something to consider before that Valentine’s Day date.

This is the inevitable product of a society that views fornication as mandatory.

Strange, I've always found it to be kind of fun and, in my case, not so easy to come by. But then I was born ugly. Fortunately, I eventually found a woman with bad eyes to love me as if I were good looking.

A society where fornication is mandatory? I was kind of hoping that's what heaven would be like. Not that I'm going in that direction mind you, but I figure somebody, somewehre, should get to have a little fun, even if it isn't until after they are dead.

Don't think this is what that expression means.....

Imagine how stupid we look to the rest of the world. Abstinence and ignorance, that's the ticket.

    What's with the "we" stuff?

(We have seen most of the world and we don't feel half as stupid as your average Frenchman. Honest we don't.)

By the way, do you think the abstinence people are suffering from all those terrible, dripping, messy diseases, or could it be more likely those who sneer at the abstinence people and think them ignorant?

Ignorant they may be, but of unsightly diseases and too many puffy squeezes,of these slights they are remarkably free.

"We" lived in France and "we" are aware that the French have the finest education system in the world. There's a lot you can rightly call the French but stupid ain't one of them.
This ridiculously high rate of STDs is a disgrace. And the problems start when kids who have been pressured into embracing abstinence start reacting to their hormones and haven't been educated on protection.

How about disproving the data? Know that's not in the wingnut playbill, but if you can't counter the facts, how about keeping quiet?

Whose fault is that, exactly ?

Check the STD rate in the 1950s against today's. And then get back to me.

    Um, no.

The problem starts with parents who tell their kids that girls and boys are the same.

I too find that when I ignore things they tend to go away, and therefore are not a problem.

Boys and girls are the same? I don't think so.
